It's located in Tenmangu, Osaka.
Original Text
It was in the back of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. It seems that there are 2, but I found only 1. It's "I wonder if it's the look of a bird that blooms and is happy." It seems that cherry blossoms are plums. It was made at the age of 51. There are various similar stones and monuments around here, and all of them were difficult to understand and difficult to find.
I walked while watching the plum festival start in Tenmangu. A park that comes out with a map stamped with Tenmangu? gentleman? If you go inside, you will find a simple Japanese-style park + gentleman with various street vendors. It would be a good view if you go inside while looking at it. There was no facility or guide for foreigners. I felt Japanese.
A monument of Basho Matsuo's haiku in Tenmangu shrine in Osaka
Original Text
It is a monument to Basho Matsuo's haiku in Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. It's near the edge of the site and it's not very noticeable. The characters are twisted and I don't know what I'm writing, and it seems that it was built on Basho Matsuo's 200 anniversary, but I don't think the general public will notice it.
There are many monuments in the precincts of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, and I searched around. There was a monument in the precincts of Shiramaisha, a small shrine in the precincts. It was a monument that didn't seem to stand out, and I would have missed it if there was no explanation board next to it. It seems that there is another monument in the precincts of Tenmangu, but this time I gave up finding it.
Osaka is also the end of Basho Matsuo, and footprints remain in various places. Osaka Tenmangu, famous for the three major festivals in Japan, is also 1. When I visited Osaka Tenmangu Shrine in September, I found a monument engraved on a natural stone of "Plum Blossoms seen in Gyonen and medicine" on the west side of the main shrine. There are various places related to Basho (monuments, etc.) in Osaka, so if you are interested, why not take a walk?
