It is located at the foot of Matama Bridge over the Kokuba River. This time, I visited for the first time. During the Battle of Okinawa, some of them were destroyed, and the remaining stone bridges were also buried when the US military built an iron bridge. Cobblestones and arch parts were excavated in a survey conducted in 1996. Currently, restored ones are on display and are designated as tangible cultural properties of Toyomijo City.
Architect stonework remains in 2. According to the explanation in the field, the stonework of Matamabashi, which was destroyed in the battle of Okinawa, came out during the construction of a new bridge. The place seems to have moved.
I went to see it in November 2017. It is the remains of a prewar bridge. In the past, it seems that five archs were in a row, but only two are excavated and left. It is a cultural property designated by Toyomijo City. It is restored and exhibited at the foot of the currently used Matamabashi.

Since the number of fixed-route buses is overwhelmingly larger on the Naha City side, it seemed better to visit from the Naha City side.

The remaining stone bridge was also buried due to the construction of an iron bridge by the US military.
