A gentle walk with plenty to see and lots of bird life
I spent a good part of the day exploring the plateau before heading back to Chesil beach, arriving early just before 9am om a warm October day. The lighthouse if of course the best known landmark toge...
Beautiful scenery
Lovely area with lots of beautiful walks and scenery. I would recommend going to the lighthouse and also the quarry where the stone has been sculpted into lots of different scenes. Would visit again.
Great landmark
Portland Bill is worth the short drive from Weymouth. You can go up inside or simply sit down and enjoy the views. A worthwhile experience.
Popular place to start walks along the coast
The car park reasonably priced free for Blue Badge holders. Ideally situated to visit the Obelisk and Lighthouse. Cafe for snacks and drinks on site.
