This is a local onsen, where only three people can go in. When going here after hiking, there will be plenty of people. The quality of the Onsen is nice but I the whole building did not feel hygienic....
If you want to enter a hot spring on Yakushima, you can basically choose Onoma Onsen, which is the only source of water, but I came here for the first time in several years due to the convenience of going out. If the amount of ingredients does not exceed 1,000, the name of the hot spring will be a simple hot spring, but although this hot spring has a history, the amount of ingredients is about 200, and the source is boiled in a boiler. A few years ago, I remembered that I had a sulfur smell like Onoma Onsen, but this visit had no sulfur smell, and I was rather worried about chlorine smell ...
It's a hot spring that feels good and it's really like a local person going to. There is only one indoor bath, and it feels like the last person has a lid. It was a little deep on the mountain side, but the radio wave of the mobile phone did not reach.
It was "Kusukawa Onsen" full of local feeling. Personally, the quality of the spring is also good and recommended.

The area around "Kusukawa Onsen" is green and looks like an unexplored area, but since it is near Kagoshima Prefectural Road 77, it doesn't feel like "the unexplored hot spring that I finally arrived". It is "Kusukawa Onsen" that you can easily and easily go to. "Akutagawa Onsen" is a local feeling, Showa ...

Friendly staff
A rustic traditional onsen (separate baths for men and woman). Quite easy to find as signposted off the main road. 300Yen per person.
I'm worried about the smell of chlorine now.
