One of the more unusual museums in Barcelona, this space showcases the world’s largest collection of funeral carriages and hearses. I wasn't too sure when my friend suggest we go, but I actually ended up learning a lot about from the exhibits and found it a fascinating experience. Here you can learn about the somewhat morbid traditions surrounding death or simply admire the craftsmanship and baroque detailing on the carriages themselves. The carriages are even accompanied by dummy drivers, dressed in period costumes, which adds to the spookiness of the experience.

If you are looking for something good alternative to do in Barcelona, I recommend you to visit the Museum of Carrosses funeral and feel part of a movie of the Old West. A little creepy but interesting. Date: Sunday afternoon the entry is free.
In times where the trend is to hide all the related to death, this exhibition allows us to approach the ancient funeral rituals. The hotel is a very nice and unique historical museum, and the funeral art is a historic and educational tour.
