Cromwell what a shock he wrecked another Scottish building
Just stunning ruins and to think it was so important at one time that mary Queen of Scots visited, to walk in her footsteps a real wow for us.
Beautiful ruin
Exquisite ruin with still extant bits of stone tracery and beautiful stone. Worth every minute spent there.
Historical ruins
We've been in this area so many times and never visited the cathedral, but we decided to make time whilst travelling the NC500. Although there's not much to see as it's mainly a ruin we still consider...
atmospheric ruins
Atmospheric abbey ruins set in peaceful grounds. Nice to wander round and the information boards tells of the history of the abbey.
Could do better
Red sandstone ruin. Very peaceful feel. Shame was we couldn’t see more inside the cathedral. Rather disappointed by information boards.
