137***66It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Kuantan, the largest city on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, to Lin Ming, which is considered to be the most beautiful town in Malaysia. Lin Ming, rich in tin mine resources, was originally a famous mountain town tin township. At the end of the 19th century, British companies mined tin mines here. In 1986, the collapse of tin prices caused the local tin mining company to close down. At present, most of the tin mines have collapsed and are not open to the public due to safety reasons. Tourists can only visit the tunnel on the first floor of the tin mine and the tin mine museum.
