Hallstatt is located in central Austria, and is very close to Salzburg. It is surrounded by lakes and mountains, with elegant churches, ancient hotels and beautiful cottages. Owing to its unique scenery, it is called "the most beautiful town in Europe". It takes about 2.5 hours by train from Salzburg. A one-day walking tour can be arranged in the town.
There's no doubt #Hallstatt is stunningly beautiful - from every angle.I'm just glad I managed to squeeze a trip in now, because I've never had the desire to go due to it being the epicentre of crowds. I'd love nothing more as a travel expert, than to re-wire the tourism of Hallstatt. While pristine and wonderful in nature, the town feels like a museum piece and caricature of Austrian culture, when Austria is so much more
Hallstatt to me is the most beautiful part of our Eurotrip! It is a fairytale 🧚♀️ village accessible from Salzburg or even Vienna by trai or buses. The town is quite small, you can walk around in one day. You can also take rent a boat and have some romantic time with your loved one 💕
We decided to never stop exploring, even if we are forced to leave our comfort zone sometimes! And it's definitly because of places like this. A cute small village.
The cemetery now has become a tourist attractions. Reflects the local people to respect and take good care of life.
Had a lovely visit to the salt mines on the second day in Hallstatt. The wooden slide in the salt mines was the best and fatanstic part which really worth a visit.
Hallstatt is a majestic place! It is definitely the real definition of a fairy tale village. It is located in Austria, best reach from Salzburg or Vienna for convenient transports. This is a traditional village that you can walk around for all day without getting bored! The highlight of this place I think is that you can rent your own boat, which you will drive by yourself around the lake, to enjoy the beautiful view! It is unbelievable how this place is really amazing, probably the most beautiful village in Europe. #HalloTrip

baked squid. The fish is taken from Lake Hallstatt. It is crispy and tender, with delicious meat and fat. Not too greasy, the fish has no strange muddy taste and tastes great.
Dessert is an apple pie. For me who doesn't like sweets, I feel that the taste is fairly average.
