Himeji City Museum of Art

The art museum is here in an old building, not far from Himeji Castle. Of course, Himeji City itself is quite small, a place full of art, not many people visit it, but it’s good to visit .

The Himeji Castle Art Museum is on the east side of Himeji Castle. The two rows of red brick buildings look very primitive. You can walk along the path. It opens from 10 am to 5 pm. It was closed when we went. Go early

I went to Himeji Castle, Kokoen, Art Museum and History Museum in one day, and there was plenty of time. The art gallery is at the back left of Bailu City. It used to be a shortcut from the city but is now under repair. I bought 1000 coupons and there was a special exhibition, which was not bad. All of them are modern Japanese painters. If the votes are 200, there are only a few, but they are worth it because they are all famous artists.

If you want to visit all three places: Himeji Castle, Kokoen, and Art Museum, it is recommended that you choose the art museum at the first stop, then Himeji Castle, and then Kokoen, so that you can stop by. Because Himeji Castle is in the middle, the art museum and Kokoen are separated from each other
