The Former Residence of Li Xiannian Memorial Park

Li Xiannian's former residence is located north and south, deep into the two, the surface is wide, the construction area is 55 square meters. It was originally called Shijiatian. Li Xiannian's ancestors for several generations, all relying on renting a few mu of Botian landowners for a living. Local landowner Wu Tiecheng, there are hundreds of stones in the fields, many remote mountains in the fields are inconvenient to cultivate, just build a thatched house nearby, called a Zhuang house, Li Xiannian ancestors, fathers because of renting Wu family Zhuangtian, only lived in this Zhuang house. The original two rows of the village house, each row of four, between the two rows of soil walls formed two courtyards, Li family lived in the West Courtyard, Chen family lived in the East Courtyard. Li Xiannian was born here on June 23, 1909, and has been growing up in difficult years since. In 1926, he joined the Agricultural Association and began to embark on the road of revolution. The house was idle and dilapidated after the death of his grandfather, father, uncle and mother, and the front row of two houses was damaged by uninhabited. After the founding of New China, the government took back the former residence and repaired it. On May 25, 2006, it was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units nationwide.

Li Xiannian's Former Residence Memorial Park is located in Gaoqiao Town, 20 kilometers south of Hong'an County, Hubei Province. It is now open to the public: Li Xiannian's Former Residence, Li Xiannian Library, Former Residence Memorial Hall, Memorial Park archway-style gate building, etc.

Li Xiannian's former residence is located under the Hongmazhai, 15 kilometers southwest of Zhandian Town, Hong'an County. The building is a narrow and long courtyard structure. After entering from the gate of the memorial park, the roadside is the library, and the former residence and the former residence memorial hall are behind.

Li Xiannian, born on June 23, 1909, was born in the village of Changfeng village, Gaoqiao Town, Huang'an County, Hubei Province, a poor peasant family. When he studied carpentry in his hometown in 1925, he was influenced by the Huang'an Working Group of the Communist Party of China and began to join the revolution. In the autumn of 1927, Li Xiannian led his peasants to the famous jute uprising and joined the Chinese Communist Party. During the war years, Li Xiannian had been engaged in military struggle and was a prominent general of the People's Army led by the Communist Party of China. He is brave and good at fighting, and has been outstanding. At a major historical juncture, he is not afraid of sacrifice, brave to carry the burden, dare to fight, and build wonderful achievements. In the early days of the founding of New China, Li Xiannian presided over the comprehensive work of the Party, government and army in Hubei Province, transferred to the Central Committee in 1954, served as Vice Premier of the State Council for 26 years, and served as Minister of Finance for nearly 20 years. Since then, he has held important positions such as vice-chairman of the CPC Central Committee, Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, chairman of the state, and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.
