Neist Point Lighthouse

Built in 1909, the Cape Nestor Lighthouse is located in the northwest corner of Sky Island, condescending on cliffs, completely different from the lighthouse on the coast, which is said to stand on the edge of the world.

We went to England in June. What impressed us most was the cool and magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands, the best natural scenery in the westernmost Sky Island of the Scottish Highlands. Nest Point is located near the westernmost town of Glendale on Sky Island. The English name is Neist Poiny. Many posts refer to it as the Nest Point Lighthouse. It is a beautiful triangular cliff stretching out to the Atlantic Ocean, and the lighthouse is still behind that cliff. Walk up and down about 300 meters. Along the road, there are seas on both sides, and the north coast is about 200 meters of steep cliffs. Going to the front, there is no obstruction, the waves are stirring, the sea birds are singing, and it is a bit magnificent and very shocking. We walked around and took more than 40 minutes to get to the front of the lighthouse. The white walls of the lighthouse are very refreshing and conspicuous. The lighthouse was built in 1909 and designed by Allen • Stevenson (AlanStevenson). It was originally a lighthouse guarded by someone, but it was later updated to a self-control system and became an unattended lighthouse. The light is 43 meters above sea level and can be seen 16 nautical miles offshore. It is said that this lighthouse is rated as one of the ten most beautiful lighthouses in the world, so-called "beacon standing on the edge of the world". But after checking back for a long time, there were many versions of the ten most beautiful lighthouses. Regardless, the Cape Nestor Lighthouse and its surroundings, location are unique and spectacular. Many people come here to shoot sunsets, but it is not likely to be June in Scotland, where summer sunsets are around 10:30. It was too late, and it was not easy to go back. On the way back, many people climbed to the high cliff in the middle to see the scenery. We didn't go. Going north to the back of the rock, you can see the lighthouse from the north of the cliff. The mountain cliff is lined with the lighthouse, and it is very tasteful. Go north from the parking lot, you can also see the Cape and the lighthouse from the north of the mountain, which is the most classic angle. There is no bus at Cape Nester, so you can't go by car. It is a hilly road up and down, it is not easy to walk, and finally the 7-mile road of the road is a very narrow one-way line. From time to time, you have to go wrong. Self-driving in Scotland, especially on Sky Island, many of these roads, waved hands and said hello when you wrongly drove each other. Let's go 40 minutes from Deng Weigen Castle. More than 1 hour to Porter, capital of Sky Island. The parking lot there is not big, very simple, and there is no charge. There are still a lot of people here, the parking lot can't stop at all, most of the cars are parked on the side of the road. Generally play for 2 hours, but if you want to watch the sunset, it is another matter. Of course no tickets. But there is no toilet or trash can. As far as I look along the road, it seems that there is a village in the nearest 3-4 kilometers from Cape Nest, and it seems that there is a homestay. There is a small shop where you don't have a place to eat, and you have a little food. If you want to eat there, you have to bring your own. When I went there was mid-June, on Sky Island was basically the autumn wear in Beijing, and the Cape of Nest was even more windy and more clothes were to be worn. There is no protective fence on the edge of the cliff, so pay attention to safety.

Nest Point Lighthouse, this is the farthest attraction in the entire Sky Island, we drove for at least two hours, and was reminded by the police that I was not driving steadily, the scenic area is really beautiful, there are cliffs and seas.

If anyone asks me what these scenery harvests are, I'll say this is probably a place I won't necessarily come back in my life. This is the westernmost part of Skye Island. I stand at one of the ten lighthouses in the world. The lighthouse faces one of the ten largest in the world. The north Atlantic is back to the whole of Scotland. I can be with my flock. Peer seagulls flew through the most dangerous mountain road to see the scenery that I wanted to give up in the first step. Fortunately, I walked past. Maybe I said this. It is inevitable to be exaggerated, but it is true that I stand there. I don’t fantasize about the blueprint of so-and-so and I don’t make a wish for the future. Just a few seconds of empty life. The boundary is reversed. I generally climb back to the original point at the other end of the gravity. The cardiac arrest is tight. I can still see the lighthouse watching the sun shine on the sea. This sacred remote sky island is a pity. Unfortunately, this scenery is only seen by the fate. Fortunately, someone guards the sea breeze. You blow slowly. Let the lighthouse look slowly and let me walk slowly. I can only say so much. After all, no matter how described, I can't fully map what I see and what I breathe.

If you just look at the lighthouse, there is really nothing worth coming here. It is more about feeling the surrounding scenery. The scenery here is really great. It is really great to come here to blow the sea breeze and see the scenery.
