Maligne Canyon Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Why you must visit Banff Park at least once in your life
Banff self-drive for five days and four nights🚗 Checking the map🗺️, calculating driving times and distances, and which hotel is both comfortable and convenient along the way haha😃 And no backtracking~ A meticulously planned itinerary🚗 Just copy my homework❗
Day 1️⃣ Calgary Airport — Self-drive to Banff, Alberta
📍Stroll around Banff town
(There's a store in town that sells Canada Goose, they restock every day, I got my down jacket the second day I went there)
🏨The Hidden Ridge Resort
Has a kitchen! Easy parking, located on the hillside, the room has a great view
DAY 2️⃣ Banff Gondola — Banff Upper Hot Springs — Vermilion Lakes
📍15mins drive from the hotel to take the Banff Gondola (Banff Gondola), a four-seater, about 8 minutes to reach the top of Sulphur Mountain at 2285 meters, overlooking the majestic Rocky Mountains, especially beautiful
📍The world-famous Banff Upper Hot Springs, mixed bathing, swimsuits required~ If you're not afraid of the cold, go for it!
📍Vermilion Lakes are about 3 kilometers from Banff town, three lakes surrounded by marshland, with Mount Rundle in the background
Day 3️⃣ Banff (Two Jack Lake + Minnewanka Lake + Lake Louise) — Yoho National Park, Canada (Emerald Lake)
📍16mins drive from Banff town to Two Jack Lake, the lake is blue and green, very beautiful.
📍Another 5mins to Minnewanka Lake, the largest and deepest lake in Banff National Park, located east of Banff town.
📍Lake Louise is known as the 'Sapphire of the Rocky Mountains', the lake reflects the silhouette of Mount Victoria, opposite is the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (you can book their afternoon tea🍰 online in advance, the view is absolutely stunning)
📍Emerald Lake is the largest lake in Yoho National Park, known as the 'Emerald of the Rocky Mountains'. The green lake water reflects the surrounding forest, snow-capped mountains, and peaks
🏨Chapel Mountain Lodge
This hotel is all individual cabins, located in Yoho National Park, the rooms are very characteristic, with fireplaces and lofts (super love)!
Day 4️⃣ Columbia Icefield +Glacier Skywalk — Athabasca Falls — Jasper National Park
📍Definitely visit the Columbia Icefield! So beautiful⛰️ Park in the parking lot, take their Ice Explorer large vehicle🚗
📍You can also encounter Athabasca Falls on Highway 93A
📍Maligne Lake is the largest natural lake in Jasper National Park
🏨Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Stayed in the villa area of the hotel, open the back door of the room and there's the lake, the hotel itself is a resort park, the rooms are very large
Day 5️⃣ Jasper National Park (Maligne Canyon) — Edmonton, Alberta
📍Maligne Canyon is the longest, deepest, and most scenic canyon in the Rocky Mountains. Unique karst topography, walk 6 bridges along the valley trail
📍West Edmonton Mall (West Edmonton Mall) is the largest in North America and the fifth largest shopping center in the world, the special Canada Goose clothes on the homepage were bought here!
Finally, after returning the car at Edmonton Airport, I chose to fly to the old town of Yellowknife to see the Aurora😃
It is 2 kilometers long, only 1 meter at the narrowest point, and the Ma Lin Canyon at the deepest point of 55 meters is a deep "crack" embedded in the rock, which is washed by the Ma Lin River day after day. It is different from the magnificent feeling of the Grand Canyon of the United States. The
tour route is marked by six bridges over the canyon. The six bridges are not close together. If you want to walk from the 1st bridge to the 6th bridge, it takes half a day. We only walked two bridges and felt the scenery was very general. We gave up the third and fourth bridges, then drove to the sixth bridge, and the scenery was flat.
[Ticket Information] If you have bought tickets for Jasper National Park, you don't need to buy tickets for this attraction in one day.
[Opening hours] Open all year round, in case of heavy snowstorms, etc. Natural disasters will be notified to visitors in advance, please pay attention to local weather and official website news.
[Traffic information] The most convenient way to drive.
This is a typical karst landform. The Ma Lin River flowing out of the upper Ma Lin Lake passes through it. A limestone gorge about 2 kilometers long and curved deep is cut on the limestone. The sides of the gorge are mostly vertical cliffs, and the narrow places are only a few meters wide. Because the drop is very large, the water is rushing, and there are more than a dozen waterfalls. The sound of the whole valley is roaring, which makes people feel terrified. Canyon waterfalls abound in front of the Ma Lin Canyon, typical karst terrain. There is an introduction to the formation of karst landforms at the entrance. It is a must-see for Jasper National Park.

The road leading to the top of the mountain like a silver chain is more dazzling in the sun. We must first shuttle the bus to the middle of the mountain. The glacier looks very close, but it is still quite far away, and the shuttle bus has been sitting for 10 minutes. The special sightseeing cars are all tailor-made for the ice glaciers. The light wheels are almost as high as mine. A piece of snowflake can be changed, but the glaciers can carry such a huge car, and you can imagine how powerful the cohesive force is. On the glacier, you can also see traces of glacial retreat caused by climate warming.
Open here, the driver will return the time before getting off the bus. We will not take the car we went to because of the missed time. After communicating with the staff, we have to wait for the space on the back to let us sit. As a result, the glacier glass bridge of the next scenic spot "Skywalk" has not been completed. Fortunately, we are self-driving, and there are several people who are on the same car on time. After meeting with us, we will take us with our own car. Going to the sky trail, so I caught up in the last second before the attraction closed, sweating.
Jasper SkyTram Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Jasper Skytram, Canada: Taking a skytram up to the top of the mountain in order to see Jasper panorama view. It was very cold with lots of snow covering at the top when I been there in June. The view down is beautiful with the nice color of water from each lake.
Patricia Lake Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The most amazing thing about me is here, I saw the enchanted scenery early in the morning.
If you don't meet with you in the scenery, where will I go, maybe it is a miracle that is destined to be like a meteor in an instant, which makes me surprised and obsessed, unspeakable, so I met. You, you are quiet and far-reaching, so stunned, dreamlike, unwilling to wake each other, just want to get closer, pick up the camera, leave the next moment. . . . . . The picture of
summer is always too flattering, and the sketch of autumn is more restrained. The thick color of the touch is the beauty of the season writing.

Stunning Jasper
Jasper National Park is one of a kind! If you love hiking, then you can’t miss this opportunity. The trails here are absolutely amazing. To top that off, Miette Hot Springs are right there too! We had a wonderful experience, just look at all the beautiful flowers all around! There will be mosquitos in the summer, but if you stay indoors in the evening, you will survive! #canada #travelinspiration #jasper #alberta #加拿大

Humans hold funerals for the demise of the glaciers. To the Jasper National Park in the Rocky Mountains, be sure to take a look at the angelic glacier shaped like a wing. There is a beautiful blue-green small lake under the glacier. There is still a lot of ice floes in July, and the sunset is drunk with the calm water. The Angel Glacier is one of the fastest disappearing glaciers in the Rocky Mountains. With global warming, one day you will never see the wings of the two-winged angel again.
Vancouver | Jasper National Park
| Jasper National Park. Driving from Vancouver to Banff National Park, there are many beautiful lakes along the way. This is Jasper National Park.
Admission: Seems to be over forty Canadian dollars (adult)
Take a six or seven-minute cable car 🚠 ride up the mountain. Once there, you can walk as far as you want. The higher you go, the more beautiful it gets . The mountain paths are a bit tough to walk, and it can be slippery after the ice melts. Be careful and walk slowly when going up. After getting off the cable car, walked about a kilometer or so to reach a mountain peak. There's a lot of snow, and if it's not too crowded, standing on a big rock to take photos is really beautiful .
After leaving there, passed by a lake. Not sure what it's called, but the water is super clear! You can see the bottom! The reflection is super beautiful~
Drive along the highway, there won't be much food, so it's best to have more dry food in the car. You can buy when passing by supermarkets, but they are spaced out and only in towns will you find Walmart convenience stores and the like~
