Unplanned Reunions: The Familiarity of Old Friends 😂
Is it not amusing how we seem like long-lost comrades who have chanced upon each other in the cosmic expanse of time? 😂 Allow me to depict the anticipated conversation:
"Hey there!"
"Hey!!"
"What's the story?"
"Just beach-bumming... swimming!"
"Oh, absolutely, haha! We ought to reconnect over coffee, don't you think?"
"Definitely! I'll send you a message!"
(Unintentionally) Forgets to send the message
A year rolls by, and a sense of déjà vu envelops us as the exact exchange unfolds anew
Can you find a kinship in this scenario or is it a solitary experience unique to me?

🌸 Gushan Temple
Gushan Temple, a famous temple in Jingjiang, is located about five or six kilometers north of Jingjiang city center, on the solitary Gushan Mountain. Originally named Zhengjian Temple in the early Tang Dynasty, it has a history of 1,500 years.
Gushan may only be a little over fifty meters in altitude, but it is the only hill between Nanjing and Nantong along the north bank of the Yangtze River; a lone peak rising abruptly from the vast plains!
🌺 To the north of Gushan Temple is a heavy gate, through which one enters the Dongyue Royal Palace, the main hall of Gushan Temple. Inside the hall are a hundred Buddha statues, resplendent in gold and jade. Behind the temple is the 'Buguiting' pavilion, with its upturned eaves and flying corners, carved beams and painted rafters. Atop the rear mountain is the 'Wangjiang Tower,' from which one can gaze into the distance to see the clear river like a ribbon and the flat fields stretching for miles. Currently, Gushan Temple houses the Shanmen Hall, Guanyin Hall, Mahavira Hall, and the Three Treasures Tower, among other facilities. The temple's six-meter-tall white jade Guanyin statue, and the eight-meter-tall iron-cast Medicine Buddha statue, are the largest of their kind in the surrounding area. Now, Gushan Temple's winding paths lead to secluded spots, with morning bells and evening drums, and incense smoke curling upwards.
🌼 The temple is predominantly red and yellow, and when the weather is good, it matches the blue sky, making it easy to take beautiful photos. It is also suitable for ladies to check in wearing traditional Chinese dresses or cheongsams! As an ancient temple on a mountain, it offers tranquility amidst the bustle, with a broad view and a peaceful mind!
🌟 For crab roe soup dumplings, 'Nanzhiyuan' is the top choice, with little difference between the special and regular versions, except the special has thinner skin. They are light in taste, not salty or greasy. Bite into one, suck out the soup, add some ginger and vinegar, and it's really too comfortable.
After the soup dumplings, head to Gushan. The weekend I went there was a market, with stalls lining the provincial road for over a kilometer, truly a spectacular sight. 'On the third day of the third month, go up to Gushan.'
🔥 After descending the mountain, head to Jishi Ancient Town, where I bought Jishi Zhaoshao Bing, fermented rice buns, and Ying cake. This destination was not in the original travel plan, but was inspired by a food documentary I happened to see once, which featured Jishi Zhaoshao Bing. Although this snack is clearly a high-calorie mix of sugar and oil, I remember being moved by the copywriting at the time, and I was determined to try it.

The well-known Taizhou Jingjiang Crab Yellow Soup Bag, once appeared on the "China on the tip of the tongue", is known for its thin skin, juicy feet and delicious taste. It is said to have a history of more than 200 years. When you eat, you first bite a small mouth, suck the soup, then eat the skin and stuffing, you can clearly see the large pieces of crab yellow and crab meat inside the stuffing, very delicious. The production process of crab yellow soup bag is also quite complicated. More than ten staff members, from the kneading flour and suede to the soup bag, are required to be skilled in every step. Only the master with skilled operation skills can be competent. In order to ensure that the soup is steamed, it will not be intact until it is delivered to the entrance.
Jingjiang has a lot of restaurants selling crab yellow soup bags, but the locals only admire the "Southern Edge Soup Bag" of Nanyuan Hotel. In the same year, "China on the tip of the tongue" was recorded in this store. The crab-yellow soup of the South Edge is snow-white and crystal-clear, and the folds on the top are fine and even. The whole is just like a full and round, tightly wrapped, and contains a jade flower. The skin is as thin as paper, almost transparent, slightly moving. You can see that the soup inside is shaking gently, which makes people feel the softness of blowing.
Southern edge in addition to crab yellow soup bag, there are other crab meat crab yellow dishes, are also worth a try.

Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River and is opposite to Jiangyin City. The terrain in Jingjiang is flat. Only one hill is more than 50 meters above sea level. It has become the highest peak of Jingjiang River and the first place where Jingjiang landed. The hill in
Jingjiang is called Gushan. It was originally an isolated island in the sea. It landed about 7000-2.5 million years ago, with an elevation of only 55.6 meters. There is a Gushan Temple on the mountain. The most famous of the
Lonely Mountain is the temple fair on March 3rd of the lunar calendar. The Lonely Mountain Temple Fair is one of the most grand temple fairs in Taizhou. It has been circulating for hundreds of years and is usually held for three days. The scene is very lively. The Gushan Temple Fair is the first batch of non-legacy projects in Jingjiang.
During the period of the Lonely Mountain Temple Fair, the incense of the Gushan Temple was even stronger, and the tourists of the mountaineering were in constant stream. According to records, Gushan Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty, earlier than Jingjiang County, but it has been destroyed in history. The Gushan Temple is now rebuilt in 1993.
Climbing along the steps, the temples are stacked on top of the mountain. The temple is also a good place to enjoy the scenery. Under the mountain is a large farmland and scattered houses.
Jingjiang folks have a proverb called "March 3, Shang Gushan." The Lonely Mountain Temple Fair attracts the good men and women from Jingjiang and the surrounding Taixing and Rugao.
Visiting the temple fair, in addition to going to the Gushan Temple to enter the incense, of course, also to go to the market.

The gourmet documentary "China on the Tip of the Tongue" has won a lot of food, among which Jiangsu Jingjiang's Crab Soup is one of the beneficiaries. Because of the "tip of the tongue" and know the Jingjiang soup bag, I went to this small town to find out.
To say that Jingjiang's crab yellow soup bag is the most famous, the first Nanyuan Hotel. Here, we insist on making soup bags with traditional techniques. In order to ensure the quality does not open branches, diners gather.
According to Tao Master of Tangbao Store, it is still a very hard job to make soup bags. Every day, it is dark and greedy. Because of the complicated craftsmanship of handmade soup, ordinary apprentices can complete the soup making in three or four years.
It is also the trouble that Master Tao is distressed. It has not been recruited by the new apprentice for three years. A standard Jingjiang soup bag is about 3 weights and needs 30 pleats. Because there is too much juice in the soup bag, the skin is very easy to break, and the pleats can play a buffering role.
Jingjiang's crab yellow soup package price is almost the same for every store. The ordinary soup bag is about 20 yuan. Nanyuan Hotel also innovatively introduces the fried soup bag. After the soup bag is steamed, it is fried on the pan. The ordinary soup bag is different, and the price is much higher, 42 yuan. The soup in the
soup comes from the rind of meat, which is wrapped in buns when the rind is frozen. When it is steamed, the rind becomes a broth.

Jingjiang's social media circles have been bombarded with inquiries recently
Spring is in full swing🌸, it's time to go out and enjoy the greenery🌱, to capture the essence of spring, and to take a leisurely stroll through the season!
I've discovered a hidden gem of a park in Jingjiang, where you can enjoy the gentle breeze of Jingjiang🌬️. It's a place with few people and beautiful scenery, where you can have the entire river beach to yourself, and even camp out.
Lying, sitting, running, or flying kites🪁 and playing frisbee🥏 on the grass feels incredibly relaxing😌
Under an open sky, lay out desserts, fruits, cakes, savory snacks, drinks, barbecue... and have a nature date with friends.
It's also extremely pet-friendly🐶; during camping, I met many people who came specifically to walk their dogs.
Jingjiang Music & Flower Sea Park
🏠Address: 300 meters south of the intersection of Binjiang Road and Huimin Road, Jingjiang City, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province
🚗Transportation: Self-driving is recommended, parking is very convenient
⛺️Camping: It's suggested to navigate to 'Jingjiang Bridge Hotel', there's a camping site next to it where you can barbecue🍖, have a bonfire🔥, and sing karaoke🎙️ while camping
⛺️Camping Tips
Located on the 'most beautiful hundred-mile riverbank', next to it are the Jiangyin Bridge and the Yangtze River, surrounded by lush vegetation and flowers blooming in all four seasons, it's absolutely gorgeous🌸. When the sun sets, it feels like you're at San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge🌉.
The park has a dedicated camping area, no need to prepare camping gear or barbecue supplies, just bring some snacks~
🏖️Nearby Attractions Recommendation
Be sure to take a walk in the park at sunset🚶. On a clear day, you can see the sunset over the river, with cargo ships passing by, and the majestic Jiangyin Bridge in the background, making you feel like you've stepped into a scene from a spectacular movie🎬
