Nanyueshan Forest Park

Shishou Nanyue Mountain is a provincial-level forest park and a national AAA-level scenic spot. It is located in the urban area of Shishou City, Hubei Province. Shishou Nanyue Mountain, formerly known as Longgai Mountain, is a famous Taoist mountain and one of the ten ancient embroidery forests. It is now a provincial forest park. Nanyue Mountain is shaped like a dragon pan, hence the name. Today's name is Nanyue Mountain, and there is a lake at the bottom of the mountain, that is, the lake at the bottom of the mountain. From east to west, there is a second-level provincial highway from Yueyang via Shishou to Public Security, and in a north-south direction, there is a second-level provincial highway from Qin City to Huangshi via Shishou. It is about 118 kilometers away from the ancient city of Jingzhou (Shashi). It is a comprehensive urban forest park. The Nanyue Mountain Forest Park covers a total area of 94.8 hectares and consists of Bijia Mountain, Ma'an Mountain, Nanyue Mountain and Shandi Lake, of which the main peak of Nanyue Mountain is 141.7 meters above sea level. The three mountains in the park are tall and straight, surrounded by a water, the mountains and rivers are interdependent, and they are both majestic and beautiful. It is a rare mountain landscape in the Jingjiang Plain in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the northern part of Dongting Lake. Since Nanyue Mountain is a famous Taoist resort in southern Hubei and northern Hunan, it is also known as "Little Nanyue" and "Little Wudang". Nanyue Mountain Forest Park is not only an important place for popular science, education and cultural display, but also an ideal resort for forest tour, religious sightseeing, fitness and leisure.
