What people are saying:

The palace building is elegant and solemn, exhibiting Nepal's former prosperity and foreign policy, coexisting under all countries. King Bīrendra Bīr Bikram Shāh introduced a multi-party system to promote democratic reforms in the country. There are parliament rooms in the palace, etc., which makes people feel the democratic reforms in Nepal. This is also where the Nepalese royal family shooting took place. You can visit the place where the incident occurred and feel the tension at the time. However, the exhibits are in disrepair. It was transformed from the palace of the previous king and lies in the center of the city. Opening hours are 11 noon to 3 pm. If you want to visit, it is recommended to line up early. Bags need to be stored. Mobile phones cannot be brought in. Security checks are required. The museum introduces the life of former kings and the rooms where foreign heads of state were received.
