Travel Tips
Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. It is situated on the banks of the Danube river in central Europe. It is one of the most beautiful cities on the European continent. Budapest is the political, cultural, and economic heart of Hungary. For centuries, the Budapest city was two different cities: the city of Buda rising from the western hill and The Pest, stretching away into the flat plains of the east. The Danube river kept these two cities separated until 1873. In 1873, the foundation of the first of the eight bridges of Budapest began, and it stitched these two halves into one. The tale of two cities has undergone several destructions and renewal. When you visit this place, you will have many things to do in Budapest.

Budapest Travel Tips

About Budapest

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary and it is also known as the "Pearl on the River Danube". The two banks of the River Danube, west and east, were the two cities Buda and Pest. Starting from 1873, they were united into a single city now called Budapest. Buda, on the west bank, holds the highlands. Castle Hill gathers together many scenic spots and symbolic landmarks such as Halaszbastya (Fisherman's Bastion) and Matthias Church. The hill is also a great place for beautiful views of distant Pest. Pest, on the east bank, is mostly flat. This is the site of the magnificent Hungarian parliament building, as well as famous shopping streets.

Going to the bank Budapest is the Forint. If the bank does not have the euro, it will be exchanged for the local currency. Vienna will use the euro. Do not bring the US dollar. The exchange rate is very crowded.
