The Tamar Valley has so many things to present, and it is easy to come from Launceston or from the northwest coast. It is famous for its vineyards and wine cellars. It features excellent cool-climate wines, but there are more things to see and great places to eat and stay. Peppers in Georgetown are my favorite, but there are many other popular attractions. Don't miss the beautiful horned Platypus House and Seahorse World, or the Gold Mine Museum in Beaconsfield, or the Maritime Museum in Low Head Pilot Station. I plan to spend some time here, there are so many things to see here.
