People who come to Madaba, especially tourist groups, often only go to St. George’s Church to see the mosaic map and ignore it. In fact, this archaeological park is Madaba's treasure. It is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The cultural relics excavated from the Madaba archeological site are displayed respectively, and the indoor part is basically restored to the original state that was excavated at that time. This is an important place for history lovers not to miss.
1. Located in the center of Madaba, a 5-minute walk from the station; 2. There is another name here-the Church of the Virgin Mary, also known for its exquisite mosaic paintings. The treasure of the town garden is the Hippolytus Hall (Hippolytus Hall); 3. Free admission with Jordanpass.
We had some difficulties in getting to Madaba by bus. We don't want a taxi, everyone seems to be unable to take a bus for 1 jd. Anyway we finally helped us with the taxi driver to find a bus from the North Station. Madaba is a one-hour bus and some parts of the city are hard to enjoy but a bit of tourism. There are some great spots on the mountain where you can admire countless mosaics in this area is known.
The transportation is convenient and the environment is very good. The whole family likes it.
