Ximadi is located on Karajan Square, close to the cliff to the west of the city of Salzburg. The whole building is more like a large shadow wall plus a set of fountains and pools. In the middle of the square, there is a statue of a galloping horse. There are many pictures of horses on the shadow wall, which are vivid.
This square is on a rather busy main road. So it is definitely not a place where you will stay and relax for a long time. However, it does make it very easy to reach here and stop and take a look when passing by. We passed by here when we were cycling around and walking in the city.
The horse washing pond is a unique landscape. It is a small area used to wash horses in a very early period. It is owned by very valuable people. The water in the horse washing pond is quite clear and you can see a lot of small fish. There are also horse sculptures here.
