The Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion is located on Jingzhen Mountain in Menghai County. Built in 1701 AD, it is one of the most important Buddhist cultural relics of the region of Xishuangbanna. The pavilion, in classic Buddhist architectural style, is a brick-and-wood structure with an octagonal shape. It has 31 bevels, inlaid with stained glass and printed with various colors of gold and silver powder. Wind chimes hang in the upper levels, which, accompanied by the sound of the wind, give off a pleasant sound.
