Limat River has great views on both sides of Zurich. A great and cheap activity in many of the big Swiss cities is to float down the river we went for 10KM on River Limmat today and only had to get out twice to walk round damns, which are clearly marked. Zürich and Bern are great for this, although it's very busy with locals on weekends, so try a week day and always be safe.
