Fairmont Sanya Haitang Bay

I chose the Fairmont in Haitang Bay specifically for the duty-free shop. Even before checking in, a butler contacted me to ask about my arrival time and any needs. As soon as I arrived at noon, I was immediately checked in and was even upgraded to a suite, which was a very pleasant surprise! The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the duty-free shop, which you can book, or even if you take a taxi, it's only about ten minutes away. The hotel's overall design is Southeast Asian style. The room facilities aren't brand new, and one drawback is that because it's close to the sea, if the AC isn't turned up high enough after a while, there can be a slight musty smell. The toiletries are by Le Labo, which is quite nice. The hotel also has shuttle carts available; if you need one, you can quickly book it through the concierge. If you order takeout, you have to pick it up outside, but it seems like most hotels in Sanya operate this way. Breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular. The public areas are quite beautiful, but it's a bit of a distance from the beach. I think there's also live music in the evenings. Overall, I think it was pretty good, haha.

A truly delightful stay! The hotel's overall design is elegant and grand, and the hygiene is impeccable. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Our room was cozy and comfortable, with well-equipped and functional amenities. The check-in and check-out process was smooth from start to finish, making us feel relaxed and at ease. This is a genuinely well-run hotel that truly cares about its service. Highly recommended!

I used to always stay at Marriott, but this was my first time at a Fairmont, and the experience was pretty good! The room facilities are definitely up to luxury five-star standards. I was particularly touched that a butler named Anne added me beforehand to understand my needs and made meticulous arrangements. The photography studio here was also great; they weren't just going through the motions! Thanks~

Environment: The hotel has canals within its grounds, offering beautiful views and boat tours, which are also open to non-guests. Facilities: The room in Building 3, where we were assigned, felt a bit damp, and the facilities seemed a bit old. In this room type, the shower and toilet area is open-plan with no partition. Service: Despite it being the off-season, breakfast was very crowded and a bit chaotic.

Choosing a hotel in Sanya for my elderly parents and my furry companions was a bit of a task, but the Fairmont Sanya Haitang Bay ultimately won us over with its stunning views and unique boat rides. The hotel's Southeast Asian-inspired design truly makes you feel like you've been transported to a different country, and the lush greenery is picture-perfect everywhere you look. They offer a fantastic range of activities and are incredibly pet-friendly – our three little fur babies were absolutely thrilled! Breakfast was also excellent. Our butler, Ya Ya, was wonderfully attentive, providing prompt and thoughtful service. Overall, our stay at the Fairmont was fantastic in every aspect, and we'll definitely choose it again on our next trip to Sanya. Wishing them continued success!
