Do NOT book this hotel!!
I’m not sure where all these positive reviews came from, but dear god they are misleading.
This hotel is dated, mounding, dirty and falling apart.
We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights, and on the first night we checked in to rooms full of mould, broken showers/toilets, wifi that doesn’t work and very weak air conditioners. We booked the breakfast package only to find that the hotel doesn’t do breakfast anymore, so we paid for nothing and came downstairs to a lobby with the receptionist asleep on the couch and the lights off.
The following day, the air conditioned stopped working. We requested maintenance to fix it, and while a technician did come, he simply shoved multiple tools inside the vents and cleared out YEARS worth of build up, didn’t clean a thing nor send housekeeping, and the aircon then proceeded to blow MOULD out for the next 12 hours. When i requested house keeping to change my bed sheets and clean the room after the aircon service, they claimed it had been clean but absolutely nothing had changed.
We then went to check out on the 2nd to go on a cruise of Ha Long Bay, and we had previously arranged for the hotel to store our bags as we would return for one more night. It was the morning of, at 6am, that we found out their “bag storage” was simply keeping the bags in the lobby under the watchful eye of their sleeping receptionist.
The icing on the cake? BED BUGS!
Safe to say we booked a different hotel for our final night
This hotel is a health hazard with poor management and in desperate need of maintenance they aren’t willing to do. Avoid at all costs.
