The Torarica Hotel is located in an excellent spot, offering easy access to key attractions and a pleasant surrounding area. However, the overall experience does not justify the high price. The fitness center is outdated and poorly maintained, making it unsuitable for a proper workout. Service is slow, and staff seem more focused on enforcing rules than providing a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality and service level are more in line with a solid 2-star hotel. (Swimming pool opens around 08:00 and gym is not 24h open).

Go for the pool. Nothing else. Pool was the best part of this hotel. Room is dated. Airco was warm all night! 25 degrees even though we adjusted it to lowest setting. Bathroom was clean but door had mould on it and looked like it would get unhinged anytime. Breakfast was a miss - they ran out of cutlery, the coffee machine broke 2-3 times, and the food did not impress. Did I mention the pool was the best part - it was actually cool unlike the WARM water at the sister hotel Torarica.

Chill stay Staff were great, location is my preferred near restaurants and the river, airport shuttle very convenient, but room was freezing and could not be fixed despite several attempts. ATM at the other Tarioca takes visa, the grand version doesn’t. As in most places, get a metered taxi rather than the pirates who are standing out front on call.
