The room was very dirty, it smelled very bad in the bathroom, I was afraid of cockroaches, mold, the bed was torn apart, the staff, instead of cleaning, were sitting in the hallway talking loudly on the phone, I couldn't rest at all

Employees are kind and cheerful. We don’t have higher expectations so we didn’t get much disappointment. But the cockroaches… Omg they are everywhere. We stayed here for one week and killed like 10 cockroaches per day.

City Hotel in Bucharest is a total no, no! For me it was a disaster. I made a booking by phone two weeks ago mentioning that I will arrive late. On that evening I flu from UK and arrived at 22:30 at the hotel and was told that my booking was cancelled! They said they rung me that evening to confirm the booking and as I didn’t answer the phone they cancelled my booking. I found myself with no room at 22:30 and out in the street after a security person came in. I said that there was no unanswered call or message on my phone. They had the rudeness to tell me that I deleted their call from my phone’s call register. Don’t book at this hotel, you could find yourself in the street at the most critical times! I thought Romania was in EU!

Nice room, wonderful bed and shower. Great breakfast and internet. Only one towel and one bath. The hotel needs some upkeep to repair things

A simple and nice hotel with all the facilities that you need! Very close to the supermarket and train and busses! Very kind cleaners and in general nice people working there! The beds are good and it is easy to control the temperatures in the rooms

We were only supposed to be there a few hours luckily. The location is not bad, the rooms are quite clean but for several days it would have been a problem. Small rooms, poor maintenance problems, the oldest elevator I have ever seen. Price not exactly cheap but we only needed it as support before leaving for Bulgaria

The Hotel is 7-9 minutes by taxi and 25 minutes on foot without suitcases from the Bus Station (AUTOGARA MILITARI) and 12 minutes on foot from the super "MALL/Shopping Center" PLAZA ROMANIA & 5 Direct Tram stations from SUPER MALL AFI PALACE, it has EVERYTHING!
Wearing a mask is compulsory in commerce and transport!
I highly recommend the change of scenery!
