Hyatt Place Charlotte Arrowood

No email! No hot water! Front desk said it was a common problem due to construction. Nothing was mentioned at check in though. Very disappointing stay.

Stayed on the trip home. Hotel is under construction so some features weren’t working. TVs didn’t have functional remotes, no phones in rooms, outlets non functional. Breakfast and reception staff were great. Location was great

Check in was good. We were advised of renovations. Our room was not very clean. Shower had dirty grout. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. No hot water. Had to find the number online to call the hotel. No phone in the room. No information in the room to call the hotel. We were advised to wait at least 5 minutes before turning the water back on. She said she would check the boiler. Eventually had hot water.

This is a rundown Hyatt, not what you would expect from the brand. Room was dirty with snot on the walls near the bed, bed sheets were dirty, trash bags all over the hallways, boxes piled on the hallway A/C, breakfast was poor with no fruits except oranges and a limited offering compared to other Hyatts. On the other hand the staff service was good.

The hotel is under renovation. I have done my own remodels at home so I can understand but for a place of business this was not so good. Elevators had drywall dust on the inside of them. Ice maker on 5th floor doesn't work. Website showed bathtub in the room but it was only a shower. To reach the toilet paper you basically need to pivot on the stool because of the poor placement of the toilet paper holder. Booked a room for three people got one super tiny tube of shampoo. Craziest lighting I've ever seen. Some of the lights went turned on are extremely dim and it takes a minute or so for them to brighten up. Front entryway was blocked by construction and I only managed to get in the building by way of an employee at a side door. Had scrambled eggs bacon and French toast for breakfast. I believe they also had hard boiled eggs bagels you can make toast and cereal for the kids. Throw through the parking lot on the back side of the building that was halfway covered in mud. Massive pile of old mattresses laying out in the back parking lot that I would have thought should have been disposed of instead of just piled out there. Stepped out of the elevator on the fifth floor and see emergency lighting laying on a table and wire sticking out of the wall. I also spotted a ceiling tile that had been removed and an open junction box with wires hanging out of it. For having the name of Hyatt on the front of the building I can't say I was impressed.

Good ubication, amazing staff! super nice and clean room! breakfast, delicious! The only thing is the construction issue, a bit annoying and dangerous! but I will definitely stay with you again, Thank you so much guys! 🙏😚
