Hotel Spa Mediterraneo Park

The hotel was superb.Spotleesly clean. Our room overlooked the pools with distant views of the Pyrenees. The selection of food was wonderful. Fresh fish every night and a huge selection. The Pool area was set in manicured gardens. Lovely children’s Pool, an adults only pool and a family pool.lots of sun beds and umbrellas. Nearby in the hotel grounds.Crazy golf, archery, table tennis, pétanque, bowling. Super pool bar for lunches and snacks. The hotel was within easy walking distance of Roses beach and promenade. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 7 nights as part of a tour so we weren't sure what to expect. However, it turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The hotel is very clean and spacious with beautiful grounds and outdoor pools. The staff, for the most part, are very friendly and helpful. The room we had was great, very spacious with a good amount of hanging space and drawers. For us there were only two minor 'issues' with the room - the air conditioning works only when you insert a room key into the assigned slot in the wall. Our room had obviously not been used for a while so no AC had been on in that room for a very long time, it was stifling and took many days to get to a comfortable level of coolness. Others in our party said the same about their room but they decided it was cooler to sleep with the balcony door open all night rather than wait for the ac to kick in! The second 'issue' for us was the lack of amenities in the bathroom. There is only a shampoo dispenser and a body wash dispenser on the wall of the shower. So if you are used to staying in hotels that provide conditioner and soap etc be prepared. There was a tiny bar of soap near the wash hand basin but it was never replaced. There are limited number of towels too - just one flimsy hand towel and one bath towel per person. Neither are of good quality. The shining star of this hotel is the food!! The breakfast and dinner buffets are superb, absolutely nothing spared, they were amazing. The location is very good, being a short two block walk to the beach. We had a problem with our safe and maintenance came up within about 5 minutes of us reporting it.

I stayed here for seven nights as part of a Rail Discoveries tour. The hotel was excellent with a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed. There was a large bathroom/wc although getting the shower temperature right could be a bit tricky. The food in the hotel was superb with plenty of choice at all meal times. The grounds of the hotel were very clean and included a large chess board and a crazy golf course. There were two large swimming pools and a small paddling pool for children. The hotel is well situated about a 5 minute walk to the sea front and 20 minutes to the town centre. All rooms had a balcony and mine had a brief view of the sea. The walls were a bit thin and on the first night I did have some noisy neighbours but they left early in my stay and I wasn't troubled by them again. The service at the bar could be a little slow and they had attended service outside the bar which again could also be a little tardy. On some nights they also had live music. All in all this is a very good hotel with very friendly staff.

First the good things - nice, clean hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Location about 15 mins walk into the centre of Roses. I understand that all rooms have a balcony. If you get a room overlooking pools, obviously you will have some noise during the daytime and also some of the entertainment is in that area, at the back of the hotel, in the evening. We had a room at the front of the hotel, which had glimpses of the sea, but otherwise not very scenic! That's down to me - I did ask for a quietly located room. I have to say I was disappointed with the food. It is OK, but the hot food was mostly on the very cool side, especially noticeable at breakfast. The bar service was very, very slow and I couldn't believe that you can't buy a bottle of wine there - they only serve it by the glass and they only have house wine, no choice at all. It's cheap (about 3.5 euros for a small glass), but I would have preferred to pay more and have a choice. Overall, I would say it's definitely an OK place to stay, but our holiday was ruined by our neighbours on the last two days. We came home the penultimate afternoon to find thumpy music being played next door - really loudly. We asked them to turn it down and they were polite, but nothing happened. We went to reception and said we were worried about them being noisy at night, as they had other guests coming in and out of the room (obviously a few families on a holiday together). We did ask to be moved, but that didn't happen and we were told that, if it were noisy after midnight, they would deal with it. Fortunately, although we heard the families coming in around 12.30 a.m., it was quiet after that. The second afternoon, same thing, many people in the room and loud music and kids running up and down the hallway, but, at night, after they got in, quiet. I think you can understand that the stress of putting up with the music when they returned each afternoon and then wondering if it was going to be a noisy night upset us. With hindsight, I think we should have insisted that the hotel tell them that playing loud music at any time of the day is unacceptable. Haven't these people heard of earphones/earbuds?? And, I know I am acting my age here, I am SO fed up with people bringing their mobiles into the dining room, especially at dinner time, AND having them on speaker phone, so we can all listen to their extremely boring conversations. Apart from being rude to everyone in the dining room, it is also very rude to their dining companions. Hope I haven't put you off - as I said earlier, overall it is a very OK hotel and very nice staff.

Excellent hotel with good food and good staff . Clean rooms . Not much of a view anywhere but very good otherwise although as they get busier they will need more staff. pools a little chilly but indoor, which is charged for fine (5E) Towels on deposit which is returnable . Staff english could be better

I booked this for my family as I had to attend a wedding in Roses and wanted to stay in a decent family hotel. Here is my bullet point summary starting with positives: 1. Location is very good - it’s about a 4 minute walk to the beach and around 10-15 minutes walk to the restaurants along the beach 2. The hotel has 3 pools including a small kids pool for under 5s 3. The rep in the mini club was very hospitable and friendly. This is how everyone should be 4. The food in the buffet had a fairly good variety of dishes and we loved the sour dough bread at breakfast time There are some negatives and I do hope the hotel takes this as constructive criticism to better themselves because the hotel has the potential to do better: 1. There is NO PORTER - I had to take my luggage to the room myself (which after a flight and car journey to the hotel isn’t the best start) - obviously not an issue if you travel light. 2. the underground car park has lights but you must remember to switch them on - I wished someone had told me that before as I found myself in a pitch black car park trying to take out my luggage. It should just be sensor driven 3. The pools are not heated and in May the weather is pleasant but the water is very cold and our kids couldn’t enjoy swimming 4. Didn’t see many toiletries in the room - no tootbrushes, no shaving kit, no sanitary kit and no iron or kettle either. If this really is a 4 star hotel I would expect atleast some of the above to be provided as standard. 5 I had to order the iron from reception (btw everything happens through reception) and for that I had to pay a security deposit and collect the iron myself (no one could bring it to my room for me) 6 we had some ants in our room and raised it with housekeeping but due to communication issues I don’t know what came of our complaint - I don’t speak Spanish and they don’t really speak English that well either. All in all the stay was ok but this hotel has a lot of potential and if they could improve their service to customers it would be even better.

Accommodation excellent with good comfortable bed, good bathroom and everything very clean, stayed on 4th floor overlooking pool and it was relatively quiet. The food was very good but too many choices and it would be better if they did less choice and then took time over each meal. However, would recommend to stay here.

It was a huge pleasure to stay at this hotel whilst travelling with Rail Discoveries. The rooms were large, smart and quiet. The service was efficient and friendly. The meals were splendid - a wonderful choice of dishes involving quality ingredients. English hotels of a similar price should be ashamed in comparison.

Stayed as part of a coach party 8th October , first time at Mediterraneo Park after many visits to Roses . Excellent hotel , from the first greeting at reception to leaving 5 days later everything was superb . Clean airy rooms with tv and safe . We had a pool view room on 2nd floor , large bed with good bedding , extra pillows and blankets were available . Bathroom was large with good towels and complimentary toiletries . Hair dryer in bathroom , powerful but lacked a nozzle for blow drying accurately. Large wardrobe and ample drawer space . The public rooms on the ground floor are spacious and well decorated and maintained . The bar area is good, we had entertainment every evening and the drinks prices are very affordable . The restaurant is large , self service with the option to sit outside . Food is superb , with lots of choice , excellent quality and something for everyone . The pool area and gardens are well maintained with lots of sun beds and a pool bar offering drinks and lots of tasty snacks . The resort of Roses is a wonderful, family ‘old fashioned ‘ place with a long curving bay, safe beach and lots of bars scattered around the sea front . The town itself has shops and many traditional restaurants, however this year we noted a MacDonalds had opened . There’s lots of places to see , great walks , history in the shape of a Citadel which is well worth a visit .
