Wonderful resort right across from Apo island. I loved my time here and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The diving was superb and the restaurant at the resort had great food. It was really a place to rest, recharge, and truly enjoy nature.

1⃣️Location: The hotel is located in a very remote place from Daoyin City and Dumaguete City. You can't get to TUTU when you go out. Going to Daoyin City for a meal will cost more than 100 yuan each time. If you choose other dive shops, you will be charged an additional pick-up and drop-off fee. . 2⃣️Service: The hotel does not allow you to bring your own food and alcohol, and the hotel responded "in order to allow guests to consume at the hotel." The hotel does not allow guests to wash their own clothes and has to pay to have them delivered. 3⃣️Package: While we were still checking in, the female boss started to promote FD. After asking, we found that the price was more expensive than other dive shops. We politely declined and said we would consider it. She then asked if we wanted to kill the chicken. We said no, but she kept saying, don't you like it? 3⃣️Facilities: The photos of the hotel are beautiful, but the decoration quality is not worth the price. The space is very cramped and there are many right angles that are easy to hit. The shower head in the shower is very old and cannot be adjusted in height because it is loose. The curtains have only 30% shading. (The picture is the sunshine at 7 o'clock) 4⃣️Noise: The hotel's dog has a bad temper and barks frequently, including at 12pm and 5am. Because there are chickens next door and there are slums all around, the chickens crow one after another at dawn. Starting at 6 o'clock in the morning, employees were chatting loudly downstairs, and the machines were rumbling. 5⃣️Others: Because of the above dissatisfaction, I asked to check out early. Worried about conflicts, I asked Ctrip to contact the hotel through AGODA. There was no reply until 8 o'clock, so I had to go diving first. When I saw my phone at 12 o'clock, Ctrip informed me that I could check out. When I returned to the hotel, the female boss knocked on the door and did not apologize for the noisy employees in the morning. She only told me that I would be fined 500P for going over 12 o'clock. I told her yes, I would pack as soon as possible. When leaving, the female employee was guarding downstairs with a ticket. She came up to me as soon as I got downstairs and said, "Madam, 500P fine." No apology or courtesy, just money.

My wife and I are staying at the MAHI MAHI Dive resort as I write this review. The accommodation is modern, stylish and to a very high standard. Our room and public areas are kept super clean every day. The beds are very comfortable and pillows/ bedding of high standard. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is a joy to swim in. The sun loungers are very comfortable and clean beach towels are readily available from the friendly and super helpful staff. Our breakfast is included and very nice. We have eaten at the restaurant once or twice and found the service and food to be good. So far I have taken part in three dives with the dive centre at APO Island. Prices are fair and reasonable. The dive team are fun and provide a professional service at the same time. I am an older diver and have one or two physical restrictions. The guys on the boat could not do enough to help me in every way possible. Thanks so much I had a fantastic days diving. The general ambience at MAHI MAHI is one of quiet tranquility and friendliness. Looking forward to our remaining two days Big thank you to all the staff Tom & Georgie UK

The place is is well- maintained, cozy and perfect for our staycation. Great for couples, friends or families. the photos are accurate. It's veautiful! Lots of spaces are available for lounging and introspection. The food was yummy! Just what we needed for a quick break! I also love the interiors and the curtains are lovely. I love the details in the comfort room - we can control which kind of shower to use, we were given 1 bath towel and 1 beach towel per person and the availability of a blower was a huge plus for us! I appreciate the attention given to the details in that room. Kudos to the staff - Cherry, Moon, Christian and Marinel! These people are so accomodating and sweet! Requests are easily granted with big smiles on their faces. Thank you! Say hi to Milo for us. ♥️ 4 stars because: 1. Great coffee can make someone's day. The restaurant's brewed coffee has a lot of room for improvement. 2. Prices for transfers could still be adjusted. 3. Accessibility for seniors or PWDs are not yet in place (although I'm sure the staff would be more than happy to assist just in case) 4. This is totally out of the hotel's control so it's understandable but there was this annoying sound (motor) running in the background the whole morning while we were trying to listen to sound of the waves by the shore lol! Overall, it was a great experience for us! We'd love to stay a little longer or come back next time.

BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! We spent 3 weeks in 8 accommodations, and this is the only one we weren't happy with! BEWARE - tax is charged on top of the price that you see online. This is not the same for Philippine-owned hotels, only for this Russian-owned hotel. RUSSIAN OWNER ARGUED WITH ME OVER FOOD - in a painful situation that I struggle to forget, I ordered ribs. The smallest portion of ribs you've ever seen came out, and I ate them. I then asked if that was a full portion or not, and suggested that it must have been a starter portion. The female Russian owner came over and argued the toss with me for 20 mins at the table! I tried to back out of it and say I'd pay, but she wanted to continue to make my night even more depressing. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL! Ok, from the top... the place has a depressing atmosphere. The Russian owners are always sat, smoking in the non-smoking area, creating a strange, unfriendly atmosphere in the outdoor restaurant. People in the Philippines are happy, but all of the staff here seem depressed! The waitresses can't forge a smile, and the reception staff can't even manage to make a phone call to find a boat to the next island for you. We tried for 45 mins, and I ended up working it out myself! Some of the portions of food are small and EXTORTIONATELY over-priced. Wild dogs bark all night, like you've never heard in your life. The diving instructors are the most work-shy we saw in the Philippines. We attended a scuba trip just to snorkel on Apo Island, and unfortunately the instructors tried to end the trip after just two dives, which was at 1.30pm. We'd arrived at Apo at 1030. After discussion with the instructors, they agreed to stay another hour, but they made sure it was painful for us.

— good customer service and Wash room is really clean. They have good lighting too. Pad Thai and pizza are yummy 🥰 great ambiance facing apo island. Visited with two kids and four adults. Their food though good for one but can be share. Visited on weekday afternoon so there’s no other people there.

What can I say? Three girlfriends on a dive trip, and we had a huge, lovely room, enjoyed great service, and ate ourselves silly; the food is great. The diving was also wonderful, from drifts to night dive critters and turtles galore, and the dive crew competent; they were very helpful, as I was nursing an injury and needed assistance climbing back up on the big boat. Nothing beats a beautiful day diving, then coming home to a wonderful place to hang out. Owners Alex and Elena were super accommodating. No question, this place is a must-visit in Dumaguete.
