We visited this hostel during the May holiday in 2021 and found it whilst looking for somewhere to get away to during the busy weekend. Thankfully it did not disappoint! Location: Located a valley away from Mutianyu Great Wall, the location of this place is fantastic. You can walk through the tees and mountains all the way up to the Great Wall, it takes about 1 hour and is not a difficult climb. The surrounding area is remote but has a few amenities, such as a few hotels and activities you can do. You can also see parts of unkempt Great Wall on the mountain tops, which is incredible. Room: The room was lovely and clean with a huge bath and an electronic toilet (quite the experience!). Inside the room there toiletries, tea & coffee, and some fresh fruit. The bed was large and soft, and the room had effective air conditioning. Facilities: The hotel’s grounds are on the side of a mountain with a few different levels. There is a playground for kids, an outdoor infinity pool and plenty of places to sit. The bottom level has an all-day restaurant with drinks and food available. Staff: The staff were super helpful and friendly, we were checked in promptly and even shown the exact place to follow the trail up to the Great Wall. The waiting staff were also really friendly. Food: We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. The food in the evening was seriously good, a great selection of dishes, with some local dishes available as well. Also, cold beer! Always a plus. The breakfast was pretty good but a little cold when it came out, we chose to have the western breakfast. The coffee was very good. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a trip out of the city. The owner also speaks some English which is awesome!

We live in the first phase. The entrance to the Gubei Water Town scenic spot is uphill at the entrance of the community. Our room is in the innermost part of the community in Building 2. The entrance to the community is a climbing road. The entrance to the room is shown in the picture. The first is the living room, and inside the living room is the toilet and bedroom. There is a big ball, building blocks and a small slide in the room. The yard can be filled with sand and rocking chairs. My baby likes it, see the picture. The room is generally ok, but I think it may be unoccupied for a while, the corners are a bit gray, but after all, the homestay can accept it. Since we have brought children, we will disinfect and clean with alcohol after we arrive. We stayed for three nights every day. I clean it a few times by myself, for the safety of my baby, but it can also be called cleaning, but we all have a cleanliness addiction so we can do it ourselves. P1 parking lot is closer to the first phase of Longhu Yuanzhu community. The navigation shows that it is not far, but we only arrived at about 12 o'clock. As a result, the P1 parking lot is full and we can only park at the P6 parking lot (across the road from P1). The parking fee 10 yuan each time, because I bring children and bring more things, I choose to line up at the entrance of the P1 parking lot to take the shuttle bus, and only go to the entrance of the scenic spot, because the reservation is for a hotel outside the scenic spot, you also need to pay 10 yuan per adult. Child 5 You have to walk uphill to the gate of the community when you get off the bus, and you must line up at the gate to register and scan the itinerary card. The store will pick you up before you can enter the community. After you have your room card, you can enter and exit the community freely. We chose the fairy tale parent-child family villa. The price is 900 yuan per day, which is still acceptable. Breakfast is always settled in the morning stalls in the community. The three big and one small are basically 70 yuan. Almost all take out at noon and night, which can be delivered to home. Here, I ordered takeout many times and finally decided that the food at the Qiaoxiang Residents’ Custom Restaurant was okay. The delivery started at 128 yuan and then increased to 300 yuan for delivery, and then it was lowered. My husband bought fish-flavored pork shreds and Yoshinoya fat in the community. There are more than 70 beef rice bowls, which is really not delicious, especially Yoshinoya beef beef rice is very shan, not recommended, I personally think it is better to order takeaway.

This accommodation accepts foreigners. After booking this place, tried to contact owner via WeChat with contact provided, but owner never added me until I needed to text in Chinese from my phone (using translator). When arrived to the location he sent me on a map, I received directions to find the apartment myself. We never once met the owner of the property. All conversations using Wechat were in Chinese (me using translator). The little studio was clean when we arrived, but later at night was full of loud insects that we had to eliminate in order to sleep. The bed was very hard not comfortableat all. The kitchen was supposed to have everything available to make meals (at least was what I have read in previous reviews) but in reality had nothing, not even a spoon. It was a very simple place, a bit expensive for what you get.

The master of the place is really nice he came and got me from the information center because I didn't know where the hotel was. My room is upgraded to about getting a room without any extra cost. The master of the place came to see the room twice because I complained about the heater not being hot enough. But it is not the place it's because Gubei hasn't got any central heating like Beijing so it's just my misunderstanding. The room was really spacious compared to the price you pay. It has got everything from refrigerator, TV, the heater, air condition, comfortable bed water is filtered and drinkable small kitchen with your kitchen appliances and even the washing machine. Despite the fact it is not in the senate spot, it was perfect. Thank you Mr. Wu. You are a great host.

The room design is reasonable. It can accommodate 6 people without any problem. It will be relaxing and comfortable. Warm lighting, transparent and quiet, it is a suitable place to relax body and mind There are two floors, and you can open the window to enjoy the mountain view. There is an induction cooker in the house so you can simply cook something to eat. Book a ride up and down the mountain, free delivery, very convenient And the store staff is very nice, this is the most satisfying❤️

This is the first time I seriously evaluate a store and it is worth recommending. The dishes cooked by the boss lady are so delicious. The portions are generous, and they also purchase tickets on behalf of us. They are very welcoming and feel like home. Love it, love it. The room has a foot massager that you can pay by scanning the QR code. It is recommended to check in at night and go to the Great Wall before 8 a.m. the next morning. You need to walk uphill for ten minutes to the ticket gate.

I brought my family to Shuizhen during the off-peak period, and chose this Shuizhen Inn. Seeing that we brought our children, the boss specially helped us pay more to get a two-bedroom cozy bungalow. The stay was very comfortable, and I had a good rest after visiting at night. The butler's service was very enthusiastic and answered all our questions. He introduced us to nearby supermarkets and restaurants. He also introduced the tour time and route in the scenic spot in detail, which made our family have a pleasant trip. The children and family were very satisfied. Next time I come, I want to try his mountainside villa. It has a private bath, which is suitable for two or three families to gather together. Bathing in the bath in winter is a good choice for taking children.

Live shooting, good exterior view of the room, double terraces, very quiet at night, you can see the Great Wall, even though there is still a certain distance from the water town scenic spot, but the butler will pick you up, this service is good. Small problems can also be solved in time, and satisfactory replies are given, which is generally good. Recommended for families! It is recommended to bring your own toiletries.
