Huishan Temple

Huishan Temple is one of the four major temples in Lushan. Although there are not many tourists here, the scenery is beautiful. The most precious thing in the temple is the Daxiong Palace. The roof is the building of the Yuan Dynasty and the only Yuan Dynasty building in Lushan. Next to the building is a monument from Qianlong years, and there are four towers outside the temple, three of which are visible to tourists.

Huishan Temple is located 6 kilometers north of Dengfeng City, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It was built in the Northern Wei Xiaowen Emperor period (471 ～ 499). It is an instruction center for monks in the ancient Lushan area. It is also known as the four major temples of Lushan. Huishan Temple sits north and south, the existing two into the second courtyard, 11 buildings in the west courtyard, 7 in the east courtyard, of which the Daxiong Palace was founded in the Yuan Dynasty, and has been rebuilt many times. The building is far-reaching and the Douyu is huge. It is the only remaining Yuan Dynasty wooden structure building in the Lushan area. Except for the Grand Palace, other buildings are hard mountain-style gray tile roofs. In the Huishan Temple, there are more than 30 stone inscriptions such as the East Wei "Zhongyue Liyang Temple Stele", Beiqi "Huishan Temple Stele", more than 120 ancient trees from Tang to Qing Dynasty, and a large iron bell in the Ming Dynasty. There are Tang Jingzang Buddhist Pagodas in the west of the Temple, and 5 brick towers in the southwest and southeast of the Qing Dynasty. Huishan Temple is a key cultural relics protection unit and world cultural heritage.

Huishan Temple, located at the south of the Lushan Mountain in Zhongyue, under the Jicui Peak, was built in the Northern Wei Xiaowen Emperor period (471 ～ 499), and is known as the four major temples of Lushan, Shaolin Temple, Fawang Temple and Daiyue Temple. Although Huishan Temple is not as famous as Shaolin Temple, its predecessor was the Northern Wei Xiaowen Emperor from the palace, and the Emperor Wendi gave the name Huishan Temple during the Kai Dynasty. It was once the monks' teaching center in Lushan area. After the six ancestors of Zen Huineng, Zen gradually divided into two north and south, Huishan Temple became the center of the Beizong law because of the high monks. Among them, Daoan, who was revered as a national teacher by an astronomer and the emperor Wu Zetian period of Dazhou, was the most famous. The emperor of heaven has been closed eight times, leaving footprints in the temples of the mountains. Huishan Temple is now in the second courtyard, a total of 18 buildings, of which the Daxiong Palace was founded in the Yuan Dynasty, is the only remaining Yuan Dynasty wooden structure in the area of the mountain. The existing East Wei "Zhongyue Liyang Temple Stele", Beiqi "Huishan Temple Stele" and other monuments and stone carvings sit more than 30 seats, Tang to Qing ancient wood more than 120 plants, Ming Dynasty cast iron bells and other large number of precious cultural relics, for the national key cultural relics protection units. On August 1, 2010, Dengfeng "In the World" historical buildings including Shaolin Temple, Huishan Temple, Zhongyue Temple and so on were listed as world cultural heritage.

Located under the jacuzzi peak of Mount Lufeng, Henan, the Grand Xiongbao Hall of Huishan Temple is a remnant of the Yuan Dynasty, and its column reduction practice and Ding Xuan's use are impressive.

Huishan Temple is not far from Songyang Academy. It is also known as the four major monasteries of Songshan with Shaolin Temple, Songyue Temple and Fawang Temple. The most famous is the Daxiong Palace built in the Yuan Dynasty. The most valuable are the ancient wooden beams and columns, and the Tang Pagoda on the nearby hillside.
