Timeslip to Meiji
Only 15 minutes ferry ride from Mugi Town will take you back in time, to the tiny, 4km long inhabited island where time has stood still for a century. Its a place to feel the spirit of old Japan, wher...
I went there because it is an important traditional buildings preservation district designated by the government, but it seems that many buildings are a little old and need to be repaired. It seems that there are many elderly people. It's a place that you can leave alone.
I'm going to disturb the gardens of the islanders' lives.

A remote island in the southern part of Tokushima. You can cross only for 220 yen by several ferries a day. There is no car, no shop, no dining room, an island that is as it is. If it's an amusement feeling, it's boring. But it's a really beautiful island. The sky, the sea, the birds, the people, the tengusa and the white tamamo. If you like it, there is a private inn or guest house that you can stay without meals, so please contact us and enjoy your stay. The islanders are almost old. ... with the feeling of disturbing the garden.
There are also remote islands in Tokushima Prefecture. There is also an occasional art exhibition following the remote islands of Setouchi. There is nothing in particular, but I feel that time is slowing down. Maybe it's good to relax.
It is close to the mainland (Shikoku) in the distance, but it is a remote island

It was an island where old scenery, customs, buildings, etc. were type trips to the present age. I've seen it many times from the coastline, but this is my first time traveling. There was also a promenade that could go around the island, and the view from the lighthouse was magnificent and wonderful. You can see the Kii Peninsula, the Tosa district of Shikoku, the Pacific Ocean, the Shikoku Mountains, etc. It is said that about 80 households and 130 people live on this island. It is about 4km and 15 by ferry. For inquiries, please contact Muki ..., Kaibe County.
