I have no idea who Admiral Duperre is but he looks proud and he’s in a nice position overlooking the harbour so he’s pretty cool.

This is a nice statue of a famous Admiral who fought with Napoleon. Another monument from a different era, that complements the skyline of La Rochelle.

I liked this statue but it didn't blow me away. After going to the Louvre and about sixty different town around France I'd say it was average.
