Sai no Kawahara, which continues to be desolate rocky areas, is right next to the place where the main hall of Osorezan is built. White smoke rose from the rocky area, and there was a smell of sulfur in the area. People regarded this place as hell, and on the contrary, Lake Usori, which has a beautiful surface of the lake, and the white sand beach surrounding it, were regarded as paradise Pure Land. Indeed, when compared to the Sai River, the beauty of the lake stood out. The sandy beach of gokuraku jodo is called 'gokuraku HAMA' ...
I visited Osorizan in late July. When I first saw Lake Usori at the place where the Taiko Bridge and the Santsu River intersect, I thought it was beautiful water. Then, after entering Osorizan Bodaiji Temple, I walked along the Sai River. It was a gray view around. There were small windmills that were soothing babies, and there were stone statues burned by geothermal steam, making me feel like walking in the afterlife. After that, I saw several stone statues and buildings and met Lake Usori again ...
A beautiful lake facing Mt. Osorezan in the sacred place. Kazaguruma and flowers are offered here and there on the beach, and a mysterious sight spreads out. You can see Mt. Osen beyond the lake. On a sunny day, the blue surface of the lake reflects the mountains, which is very beautiful.
It is a lake in the center of the Shimokita Peninsula. There is Osorezan Sacred Ground on the southern bank of this lake. The lake water is highly acidic and looks very clear, but it seems to be very poor in biota. A characteristic sight such as the yellow sulfur erupting from the vicinity remains in a part of the lake shore makes you feel sad.
