New Fourth Army Military Site

Come to Nanchang again, a familiar and strange city. During the university era, I have to pass Nanchang to change trains every year, and I have not been here for more than 20 years. This time I went to the former site of the Nanchang New Fourth Army.

This is a free and open red tourist attraction, located in the main city of Nanchang, convenient transportation, after the outbreak of the war of resistance, the red army of the eight southern provinces changed to the new four army, the military personnel work and live here.

The detailed historical materials and many physical objects in the memorial are very helpful for understanding the development history of the New Fourth Army and inheriting the red gene. The beautiful environment and antique century-old buildings here are worth seeing.

The old exhibition hall of the New Fourth Army in Nanchang was visited free of charge on the basis of identity cards. There are a lot of documents and materials, some of them are in kind. The first floor of the old site is as old as before. We can see the scene at that time, but the second floor can not be visited. Compared with some other venues, they are smaller in size, but they can also reflect the working conditions at that time, so that visitors'understanding of the New Fourth Army will further deepen the significance of patriotic education.

In the early stage of the formation of the New Fourth Army, in order to facilitate the convening of the Red Army guerrillas in the southern provinces, the general department temporarily stationed in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, made a major achievement for the development of the New Fourth Army.
