It takes about 3 hours by bus from Kashihara City (Yagi Station or Kashihara Jingumae Station) in Nara Prefecture to reach Odaigahara, which borders Mie Prefecture. Walking in the mountains at an altitude of about 1600 meters is just a heart-washing thing. Some courses climb and descend the valley, but others are almost flat. You can rest assured that the walking path is well maintained and there are many signs. However, be careful of bears. Also, do not leave the walking path or enter the route for full-fledged climbers.
