斎宮はかつて内田康夫の小説で知った
松阪市と伊勢市に挟まれて多気郡があって明和町がある。近鉄斎宮駅は普通電車しか止まらないから、これまでは車窓から眺めるだけだった。斎宮跡は広い公園に点在してある。多気郡明和町庁舎には図書館もあった。

近くに来たらオススメスポットです。斎宮の歴史を学べます。周りをお散歩しながら復元された物を見るのもいいですよ。
