West Bay of Pingyang

Located in the southeast of Pingyang County, it is 10.5 kilometers away from Kunyang, the capital of Pingyang County, and 57.5 kilometers away from Wenzhou. From south to north, the scenic spot can be divided into five major scenic spots: Yangyu Mountain, Ersha, West Barn, West Bay and Tiaotou. Many bays, wide beaches, secluded caves and dense reefs are the main features of Xiwan Scenic Area. The more prominent ones are the sea-eroded coastal scenery and streams and waterfalls. Sea erosion coastal scenery: The 16.5-kilometer coastline is covered with reefs and tidal flat beaches. The reefs are washed by seawater and naturally weathered, with clear layers and textures, rich colors, and formed reefs with peculiar shapes and rich changes. The muddy beach in West Bay is large in area and soft in texture, and the beaches are next to each other. The rocks along the mountain are often cliffs, nearly 30 to 40 meters high, while the flat mud spreads and sandy beaches are densely covered with stalagmite-like rocks ranging from 30 to 40 meters in size. The beach and the reef are cleverly combined. When the tide is low, there is an endless sea flat in front of the beach, and cliffs behind it. There are many reefs and rocks in the beach. It is a good place for primary and secondary school students to visit and play. good place to go. Xishuixi Waterfall: There are two groups of stream waterfalls on the mountain near the sea. One is Yinquan Waterfall, which is 6 meters wide and has a drop of more than 100 meters. The other is Longtan Waterfall, which is a three-tiered waterfall with a drop of 50 meters. It is also accompanied by many deep pools and valleys. This kind of seaside stream waterfall is also very rare in other places. Human Landscape: Twelve beacon towers are still well preserved in the scenic area, which is the most preserved place in Wenzhou. When you climb Yangyu Mountain, you can see the five beacon fire piers at the head of Sisha Ridge. In a Huang clan ancestral hall in Xiwan, there is a large sword weighing 120 jin. It is the weapon used by Huang Chengxian, an ancestor of the Huang clan, to practice martial arts. In addition, the Xiwan sea flat is rich in resources, with an exposed area of nearly 80,000 mu, which is traditionally used for sea flat operation. Tushangfei, etc., is a tool for fishermen in Xiwan to paint, and now it has become a tourist activity full of fisherman characteristics that attracts tourists and participates in it.
