As the name "Sunset Hill" suggests, this is a famous place for the sunset. Of course, I think it's okay except when you can see the sunset, but if possible, we recommend going to the time when you can see the sunset. When I parked my car in the parking lot, I saw Rishirifuji beyond the sea. Rishirifuji and the sea shining at sunset are impressive, and it is an unforgettable sight along with the beautiful coastline leading to Rumoi.

From November to mid-April, the entrance gate of the parking lot is closed due to the winter closure and cannot enter. If you can meet on a sunny day, you can worship the pure white and beautiful mountains of Rishiri, which is a shame.

It's located in a small high place, so you can see Rishirifuji well. You can check up to the base, so it's a good place to take a picture. There is a restroom. There is no shop.

Was there a mountain in Wakkanai on a business trip, finished work and on the way back? I could see the top of Rishirifuji so much that I thought, so when I wanted to stop somewhere and see it, there was a sunset hill parking lot on my right, and I went home after seeing Rishiri Island for a while. It was a wonderful figure that felt close. It was only Wakkanai in the northernmost part, but it was beautiful.
