Hotelās staff are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is quite new, and worth the price we paid. Location is a short drive from town, and there are some nearby eateries.
Breakfast spread is good and the roof terrace has a good view. Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. But it can do with a luggage stand.

Room wasnāt ready on arrival. We were offered another hotel for the 1st night however we didnāt accept and decided to stay with my daughter. The staff were extremely apologetic and agreed on our departure we could keep our room on till 6pm . Food was ok and plenty of choice. Ordering drinks from the main bar in the evening was a task and we could be waiting up to 40 mins as only 2-3 staff making drinks.

I stayed here with my mom for one night, and we were both very impressed. The value for money was excellent, and the room actually exceeded my expectationsāit looked even better in real life than in the photos. We had a beautiful view from the window, and the location was perfect: quiet, yet only a two-minute walk to the beach. Same for bus stop to Chania. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom, and it was equipped with everything we needed. It felt more like a small apartment, complete with a kitchen and a spacious balcony where we really enjoyed spending time. We liked it so much that we even wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately the rooms were already fully booked for our dates. Overall, a wonderful experience and a place I would definitely recommend.

Extremely hospitable and helpful staff. The hotel equipment is completely new. The main restaurant has a very beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that offers a rich buffet, very good breakfast and dinner. Very beautiful view of the sea and the island of Spinalonga. Modern decoration, lots of storage space, very comfortable bedding. I highly recommend it !!!

I knew as soon as I heard goats with their little bells on that Iād like this place. Quiet, quaint, country accomodation on the way to Samaria Gorge. The family who run it were all lovely, and mum even made me up a picnic to take on the hike before dad gave us a lift to the starting point. Maybe itās because it never happens back home, but I ordered a beer downstairs upon arrival, and got given free olives - that made my absolute day and, though previously incorruptible, my loyalty was bought instantly and totally. I also had the rabbit fry up thingo, which tasted great, although the salad itself was even better, though it curse my carnivorous tongue to say it. The bedroom had a great balcony for looking out over the green and rocky hills. Bed was super comfy, and it actually was a little colder way up in the Omalos elevation (in June) which made sleep come very easily for those like me who run hot. Big fluffy blanket in the cupboard though for those of you who like to be warmer. The bathroom is a bit small and being on the tall end of the height spectrum I had to be wary not to knock myself out on the hand basin when using the toilet. But if youāre under 6 foot youāll patting your genetics on their small back. The building is relatively old so expect to hear some footfalls as other guests go past your room, but other than that, blissfully quiet overnight. The daughter of the family speaks really good English which helped a couple times, when regretfully I seemed to have forgotten all my Greek (which I rudely hadnāt learned prior to arriving). I canāt recommend this homely hotel enough, so if youāre on your way to hike the gorge, park your car here and stay the night. Then stay in Agia Romelli at the very end of the hike. Then come back to Omalos the next day and get some home style cooking back into your weary body. Or whatever floats your ferry.

GGuest UserIt was not peak season, maybe because of that staffs were not so prepared. I waited long time for the pick up from the reception to the hotel room, same for when I tried to ask for an umbrella and other information. Staffs seemed always busy talking on the phone or with each other. My door had some problems , you need some skills to open it, the shuttle bus driver spent five minutes opening it.
Staffs in the restaurants were friendly, fairly speaking, the buffet restaurant was quite nice, catering diverse and delicious food.
The seafood restaurant served a set menu, for which I held high expectations since I was only allowed to replace one buffet dinner for a la cart restaurant. Food itself was fair, albeit overseasoned( to me was too salty), and two or three dishes will be served at the same time and honestly they were not even hot.
Room service was very efficient and the room was always clean. Private pool was nice, thought it was cold and windy now. So check the weather before going, sunny days and rainy ones are totally different experience. Hotel beach was beautiful, but again, I didnāt get my Paloma cocktail after waiting for half an hour.
They provided interesting shows in the evening , I pitifully missed it but you need to have a look, performer are quite passionate.
And about transportation, you can choose either hotelās pickup that is expensive but convenient, or the local bus ( i chose KTEL, itās very comfortable but please check the timetable on the website). This place is distant to everywhere, you can use a nearby supermarket that has everything at a fair price. If possible, youād better rent a car, which could significantly improve your experience .
I didnāt enjoy myself this time, somehow because of my personal affairs, hopefully you have a good time there!

We stayed in Sunrise apartments in the beginning of June. First of all I'd like to say a huge thank you to Nicko and Tonya, the hotel manager and his wife. They are amazing people,very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made us feel at home during our stay. The hotel itself is located on a hill, but that's what gives you the best view of sunset and sunrise. They have a beautiful rooftop terrace with sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and chairs. It's a Beautiful spot with sea and mountain views to watch the sunset and have dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. The room was very clean and spacious with everything you needed and it was cleaned 4 times during our stay(10 days). All bedding and towels changed every time they cleaned the room. The cleaner was amazing too. She did such a great job. The pool was very clean and very pleasant, the water check was done by Nicko daily. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The hotel was approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minutes walk to the supermarket, which was quite good and had everything we needed. Restaurants and taverns are all located within walking distance,but if you want to rent a car or scooter, Nicko will help you with that too. He is very approachable and helpful. We were very happy with our choice of accommodation and highly recommend Sunrise apartments to other guests. Thank you Nicko for everything you have done for us and put up with us all 10 days and made our Crete experience unforgettable.

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

Me and my boyfriend had a very bad situation.
We went to a tour in Santorini and the Ferry boat was late on the way back. Our guide called the hotel asking for a late dinner for us and the hotel said they would provide.
When we reached in the hotel we saw that they put our food ON THE FLOOR, close to the room door.
I made a mistake (I assume) I wanted hang out that thing saying ā make up my roomā but I choose the wrong side and put there ā do not disturb ā
But if our guide called the hotel saying that we were in Santorini of course they could go into the room to put our food in the fridge or keep in at the barā¦
I went down and talked to a guy in the repception showed him the picture I attached here and he answered me that was my mistake putting the ādo not disturbā at the door and he could do nothing for us, we should eat that food that was on the floor š±š”. No excuses for thisā¦
On the day after I talked to the manager and she apologized and gave us a voucher for the lunch.
We apologized but I will never forget this situationā¦
