I stayed here for a business trip. The staff at the entrance were incredibly polite and left a great impression. The lady at the front desk was also very thorough during check-in. The room itself was spotless, from the amenities to the bed, sofa, desk, and even the view. While the building isn't brand new, you can really feel the thoughtful hospitality extended to guests. Plus, having direct access to Junction City shopping mall with a supermarket made souvenir shopping incredibly convenient. There were also plenty of affordable and high-quality foot massage places just a 5-minute walk away. I had a really comfortable stay during my business trip and would definitely use this hotel again for future business travel.

The hotel amenities and cleanliness can be improved with more new furniture amd carpet. The service of the staff is good. The hotel is near to junction city.

Conveniently located near the airport, this is one of Myanmar's most luxurious hotels, situated right by the lake, which is lovely. The breakfast spread is generous, and the 'shaomai' (dumplings) are particularly delicious. They often host various events, and the lakeside bar has a great atmosphere.

Service is quite bad. I am a local and and I feel like the hotel staff doesn’t give a **** to local. They only favour the foreigners.Service wise including both front house and F&B. I don’t want to give even two star for service. Better improve such kind of discrimination mindset to locals. I wasn’t even served by welcome drink. Such a bad experience due to poor customer service. Totally deviated from my expectations and disappointed. Service wise should learn from three star hotels Haha. There was only one shower robe🫩

The style is bulky and crude; the lack of cleanliness isn't entirely the hotel's fault—the surrounding area is too dirty. The room is ridiculously large, a waste of such a spacious area.

The Strand is a find, old hotel which, for the most part, has been tastefully refurbished. Some shortcomings: the staff appear very young, inexperienced and with poor English, resulting in the wrong response to requests - half an hour to get cornflakes for breakfast; the lighting in the suite was poor, with several lamps but few overhead lights, making it impossible to read in bed; the bathroom shower had little water pressure and was difficult to use; we couldn't use the bath as there was no plug; three telephones in the suite but two not working, so the only usable phone was in the toilet cubicle - not the best spot for conversation; requests to resolve the problem went unanswered. Checking out, the management showed no interest in listening to customer feedback. Someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee..

The space is clean, spacious, and never overcrowded, making it a true haven for fitness enthusiasts. The location is simply unbeatable. I was able to walk effortlessly to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the historic Sule Pagoda, and several beautiful parks in the vicinity. This prime location not only saved me time and transportation costs but also allowed me to immerse myself in the local atmosphere and discover hidden gems along the way. The convenience of having such major attractions within walking distance truly enhanced my cultural experience. The service here is nothing short of exceptional. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. Whether returning late in the evening or leaving early in the morning, the well-lit surroundings and attentive security staff provided complete peace of mind. In conclusion, Hotel G Yangon offers an outstanding combination of top-notch facilities, prime location, delectable nearby dining, impeccable service, and a secure environment. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel provides everything you need for a memorable stay in Myanmar's vibrant largest city. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning on my next visit to Yangon!

It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus. Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

The hotel is clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread is decent and since the breakfast hall is on the top floor, the view is nice. Location is good with convenience shop and a small mall within reasonable walking distance. Highly recommended for those looking for a place with value for money.
