Opened in 2024, the Lisbon Arsenal Suites offers travelers a pleasant stay in Lisbon, whether for business or leisure purposes. The hotel is only 500m from Cais Do Sodré and 9km from Humberto Delgado Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. The closest major public transportation, Baixa-Chiado Metro Station, is only 500m away. Seeing Lisbon's sights from this hotel is easy with São Jorge Castle, Carmo Archaeological Museum and Bica Funicular all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.
"It is quite satisfactory and does not reach the four-star standard. The biggest problem is that the sound insulation is not good, the street is a bit noisy at night, and the adjacent rooms are not soundproof.
The location is not far from the old town attractions, but sometimes the taxi can't stop at the door, and there are several souvenir shops downstairs.
The sanitary conditions are OK, the facilities are enough, and the room size is normal in Europe. The front desk registry is very narrow and the service attitude is average."
GGuest UserFrom start to finish Dom Carlos Park did not disappoint.
Helpful staff took our bag up stairs on arrival.
Storage was available until our room was ready, map was given when requested to help us find our bearings.
Room clean with fridge with selection of minibar which could be purchased, safe was also available.
Towels were large and fluffy. Bed comfortable, with lovely pillows, black out curtains to help sleep.
Room service used first night with excellent food .
Breakfast was excellent good range of food. It was occasional busy and we were asked to wait in the lounge area but again well looked after and as soon as space was available we were taken in to wait.
Hotel is in a good location, a gentle walk down the avenue liberdade everyday to where the action is, such as Rossio Station where we caught the train to Sintra.
Great hotel would stay again.
Cab from airport to hotel €24 , Uber to airport €7
AAnonymous UserThe room with bathroom inside the room with balcony.
No curtains on the beds, the light can bother, no privacy.
There is elevator, no problems with luggage.
There is a kitchen, but is closed in the night time.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
TTomazzI recently stayed at Hotel Lumen and had a really great experience. The service was outstanding – the staff were friendly, helpful and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are delightfully spacious and modern, much larger than what you usually find, with comfortable king size bed.
The bar deserves a special mention:
they serve excellent drinks and cocktails, perfect for unwinding in the evening at also to see the lightshow from or going out to the patio
Location-wise, it's very convenient depending on your plans – close to metro and within easy reach of both the city center and other areas.
Overall, highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
GGuest UserThe front desk and restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast offered a decent variety. However, the sink in the bathroom drained very slowly and was never fixed during my stay. The hotel is also a bit far from the old town, costing about 11 euros by Uber.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious. Clean and has good amenities. It smelled bad inside the elevator all the time. The lobby isn't very present with dirty floors. Breakfast was average. The location was good for me, but a few metro stops away from the touristy spots. But it's a safe location w plenty of other hotel chains, office buildings and restaurants.
SSamya16I booked this hotel cause it a close location to many things around in Lisbon. While it is not a fancy hotel, it serves well for solo travellers and families. The room was very spacious and the AC worked well. The cleaning service came every day and left the room clean and fresh. Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was a usual hotel breakfast. You could pick from hot items such as scrambled eggs and meat products like beans and sausage or bacon. On one day they also had mushrooms. Then of course the bread variety and some pastry items such as croissant and muffins. Cheeses, yoghurt and fruits as well cereals were available. Eating breakfast at 10 AM usually filled us up for the day and we hardly ate lunch outside. The staff was friendly and when we requested an iron they provided that with no problem. The room had a small safe for valuables when we left for the day and plenty of storage space for the clothes and suit cases. The bathroom was very nice as well, lots of counter space and even a clothing line across the tub to hang some items to dry if you had to was a shirt or socks. The hotel is located across small soccer practice field so from our balcony we could watch people play some soccer games. Be advised the hotel is very close to the airport (about 10 min) so there was noise from planes but hardly noticeable. During our stay, 2 of the main elevators broke and were not usable but luckily we were on the second floor so taking the stairs was easy but they do have other elevators available. And for anyone not looking to leave the hotel for lunch or dinner, they provide plenty of dishes in their restaurant and bar area. But just a few steps around that area, you will find great places to eat such a Turkish restaurant with a 10 page menu I highly recommend to try.
GGuest UserI spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts:
PROS:
- Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport.
- Nice decors and overall pretty clean.
CONS:
- The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room.
- Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.
NNuannuanIt's been a while, but the memory is still vivid. The room was spacious, and breakfast was excellent – unlimited egg tarts! The capsule coffee was surprisingly good, comparable to freshly ground. Maybe I was just exhausted, but this last stop was pretty good. It started raining heavily as we left, marking the beginning of the rainy season, yet the taxi drivers didn't overcharge, which felt like a perfect ending!
I must have a soft spot for Portugal; even after 10 days, I still wanted more. So, I'm happy to express my gratitude to the places I stayed and the people who helped and served me! Wishing you all the best!
GGuest UserCool hostel in a beautiful old building in the centre of Lisbon. I had a really nice stay in the female dorms.
I’d have wished for curtains for some privacy, though.
Also, the bathroom bin hasn’t been emptied during the 2 days I was there, hence paper was overflowing.
Other than that it was a really nice experience. Many thanks!
GGuest Userdidn't like:
1) bathroom sharing was not clearly stated in the listing , nor the reservation.
2) the gents bathroom was too small
3) the ceiling above washbasin in gents bathroom was too low.
4) room door did not close and thus had to be locked every time
