Hit the jackpot with this hotel! The views of Parisian and Londoner (macau) from the window are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself is packed with Disney installations – even adults will love them! Downstairs, there's a Paw Patrol-themed kids' playground that's a direct hit with little ones.
The service is excellent, and the mini-bar even has instant noodles, which is a nice touch for kids.
The only bummer is that the water park is closed from Tuesday to Thursday, so we didn't get a chance to use it. A bit heartbroken about that. 💔
I had been planning a trip to Macau when I came across this place—and instantly fell in love with it. The setting is stunning, offering both beach and mountain views. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and every day I spent there felt warm and inviting. Everything was excellent, from transportation to food to overall service. Truly a 10/10 experience—I would absolutely recommend it.
Overall, we had a great time at Grand Resort Deck, and if you're coming for the water fun, it's a must-visit. However, there are a few details to note:
1. Many people mention that the hotel provides sand toys and water guns. While they do have them, they're in very short supply. I asked several staff members, and they all said they didn't have any. The Macau staff generally have good attitudes, but I'd still recommend bringing your own.
2. The hotel feels a bit 'stingy' compared to expectations. For example, my friend booked with me, and she also had kids, but because she didn't request a tent in advance, they couldn't get one. Also, contrary to what many bloggers said, there were no small gifts for children. For two kids, they only gave one children's bathrobe and wouldn't allow more. We visited after the Qingming Festival, but it still felt like resources were very limited.
3. Breakfast was really subpar. The first time, we went to a cafe for a semi-buffet and thought we'd gone to the wrong place. There wasn't much variety, and the servers kept bringing the wrong dishes, completely mixing up orders. The dining area was small. They called it a semi-buffet, but the à la carte menu only had some Chinese dim sum. Plus, children over 6 were charged extra. My daughter, who is under 1.2 meters, was still questioned. While I understand paying extra for older kids according to policy, the buffet should at least be more abundant. Given the quality, I really regret booking breakfast. Paying over 700 for breakfast for the family in an environment like that in the picture, I'd rather go to the Galaxy mall or order in-room dining.
My advice for Chinese breakfast is either to try another hotel in Galaxy or just skip booking it here.
4. The hotel is very close to the automated light rail, which was a pleasant surprise. It's very convenient for taking the cable car, watching the House of Dancing Water show, and enjoying the night views. The kids also loved the light rail, finding it very high-tech.
This is my second stay here, and I absolutely love it! The environment is great, and the service is excellent. They even upgraded my room. Currently, they also have an Indian food night dinner event. A taxi to the Galaxy Arena costs 50, but if you want to save money, you can take bus 21A right outside the hotel. Get off at The Londoner, and The Venetian is just across the street. The Londoner also has a direct shuttle to the airport. I really like it here and will definitely come back next time!
Let's start with the positives. The hotel is very new, and both the lobby and lounge are beautiful, adorned with many artistic pieces. Breakfast is a perfect 100 points! Although it's around 200 RMB per person, it's definitely worth the money. The juices are freshly squeezed, and the steamed dim sum is excellent, tasting just as good as what you'd find outside. Coffee is made to order and even comes with latte art, showing great attention to detail. The staff were always on hand to refill water, providing excellent service.
The turndown service in the evening was a pleasant surprise. They provided an eye mask, lip balm, and eye cream, and tidied everything in the room meticulously. They even placed a small towel on the vanity before arranging items, which shows incredible attention to detail.
The downside is that the hotel doesn't have a casino; you have to walk across to Galaxy, which isn't very convenient.
This was my first stay at Hotel Okura Macau, and my initial impression was how clean and tidy everything was, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. My second impression was how proactive and enthusiastic the staff were. The Okura also has a clear advantage in its location, making getting around extremely convenient.
An absolutely wonderful experience! The front desk service, provided by a Malaysian girl, was exceptional. From check-in to personally guiding me to my room and explaining all the facilities and their use, she was incredibly nice. The room itself was spacious, and the fresh and delicious fruit delivered daily was a lovely touch. Evian water was readily available everywhere. The room was also cleaned promptly and thoroughly. The 31st-floor pool was sparkling clean. All in all, this is hands down the best hotel in Macau. I will definitely choose Banyan Tree again for my next visit.
