The environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜. I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful. It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station. I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

Front desk staff, Ms. Wang Xiao, kindly upgraded my mother's room for free. The room was spacious and bright, with a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The environment was quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they visit Hangzhou.

This hotel is much more than just a place to stay — it is a complete family holiday destination designed around children, imagination and creating unforgettable memories. 🌟 Exceptional Service from Shi Jun — A True Credit to the Hotel Before arriving, I honestly considered cancelling our reservation due to communication difficulties. However, one person completely changed our experience — Shi Jun from the front desk team. Shi Jun demonstrated truly exceptional hospitality. Through WeChat, he patiently communicated with us, answered every question and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He helped us when we were close to giving up on the reservation, arranged room changes, helped find a suitable place for me to work, assisted when we needed to visit the hospital, and continued to care about every detail of our family’s needs. His professionalism, kindness and genuine concern for guests represent the very best of hospitality. Shi Jun is a young man who is a true credit to Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel. For his service alone, I would give 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 🌟 Beautiful, Spacious and Immaculately Clean Rooms The room was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The family design created a warm and welcoming environment, with excellent bedding, a well-maintained bathroom and plenty of space for parents and children. For families travelling with young children, cleanliness and comfort are essential — and Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel truly delivered. 🍳 Excellent and Abundant Breakfast The breakfast was another highlight. There was a fantastic selection of food suitable for both adults and children. The variety was impressive and provided a great start to each day. 👨👩👧 A Wonderful Family-Friendly Environment The greatest strength of this hotel is its understanding of families. Everything is designed with children in mind, creating a place where children can feel excited, happy and full of imagination. Our child especially enjoyed the family atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see so many families creating happy memories together. ❤️ Great Potential with Some Areas for Improvement The hotel has an excellent foundation: beautiful rooms, a fantastic concept, wonderful family facilities and a great location. With some improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best family resorts in Anji. 🌍 International Guest Communication As an international guest, communication was sometimes challenging. Unfortunately, none of the staff members we met could speak English, and some were reluctant to use translation tools. Basic English support or greater willingness to use translation applications would greatly improve the experience for overseas visitors. 🧑🍳 Breakfast Service Professionalism Although breakfast was excellent, we noticed the chef using his phone in the breakfast area during service time. For a family resort with such great potential, maintaining professionalism in all public areas is important. 🌙 Night Reception Service At approximately 5:00 am, we needed assistance because our room key required reactivation. Unfortunately, nobody was immediately available at reception. A 24-hour guest service presence would improve the overall experience. 🚗 Arrival Experience The entrance creates the first impression. We noticed the security staff member appeared distracted using his phone and smoking rather than actively welcoming guests. We were very disappointed with several aspects of this hotel. I’ll start with the NEGATIVES (positive will be below): According to the hotel’s description, it opened in 2020, so we expected a relatively new, modern and well-maintained property. Unfortunately, the reality was very different!!! ① The bathroom was particularly disappointing. The electrical outlets were installed at an angle, making it very difficult or sometimes impossible to plug anything in. The shower area was dirty and worn, looking more like it was 20 years old rather than six. The shower head sprayed water in different directions, including directly into your face. ② The shampoo and shower gel dispensers were poorly secured, and some did not work at all. We had to unscrew the bottles and pour the shampoo directly onto our hands. ③ The room itself was also poorly maintained. The floor had many sticky marks and stains, while the walls were heavily scuffed and damaged in several places. I understand that this is a popular hotel and naturally experiences a lot of wear and tear. However, for a property presenting itself as a five-star hotel, this level of cleanliness and maintenance is very disappointing. In its current condition, it feels much closer to an older three-star hotel. If you are considering staying here, I would strongly recommend keeping your expectations low and not relying too heavily on the promotional photos and advertising. The actual condition of the rooms was very different from what we expected based on how the hotel presents itself online. On the POSITIVE side, the beds were comfortable and the bed linen was clean and fresh, which we appreciated. We also really enjoyed the breakfast with the giraffes. If you want to get the best experience and be among the first guests, you need to start queuing from around 5:50 a.m. The giraffes are adorable and come up to each table, which made the experience very special and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. *I will not add photos of the beds and giraffes because hotel and other guests have all of them, but I prefer to add photos with real problems.

The hotel is right next to West Lake. The lobby is beautiful, and check-in is on the first floor with a great view. Alan, the concierge, proactively helped me change rooms from my original one to a new one. The service was excellent, and he even moved my luggage for me. There's a snack street nearby with a wide variety of food options. Parking is also convenient with an underground parking lot.

I'm so glad I chose the Intercontinental Qiandao Lake, Shilin for this stay. Our two-day hotel trip perfectly met the vacation needs of my entire family, from the youngest to the oldest. The hotel's location and environment are superb. Although it's a bit far from the high-speed rail station, its exclusive spot on the Xianshan Peninsula allowed us to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. We ate all our meals at the hotel for two consecutive days. The Chinese restaurant's flavors were unexpectedly delicious, and the breakfast quality at the all-day Western restaurant was also very high. Ordering noodles and coffee by scanning a QR code was a very thoughtful touch. During our meals, staff members even came to ask about our dining experience and handed out small gifts, making for a great interactive experience. The hotel offers a rich schedule of activities throughout the day, including hiking, sound therapy, and lake tours, so there's never a dull moment. Our butler, Jolie, provided attentive and thoughtful service. She patiently answered all our questions and requests, making it the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Finally, I've included a few photos taken at the hotel to show just how wonderful the environment is.

Staying at the West Lake Mercure in Hangzhou was so rejuvenating 🌿. The French minimalist decor, clean and bright rooms, and walking distance to West Lake make it perfect for leisurely strolls along the shore, experiencing the beauty of Jiangnan's West Lake. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and breakfast included local flavors. Overall, the stay was exceptional. It’s a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, a hidden gem for Hangzhou travelers, definitely worth a return visit!

Wucheng Four Seasons Yijing Hotel (Yongsheng Shopping Plaza Branch) 9.1 The hotel package price was very affordable, so I saw a lot of senior tour groups. It's located near a residential area, and attractions like Guzicheng require a drive. There are many restaurants nearby. Pets stay free. However, Yongsheng Shopping Plaza is still about a 30-minute walk away. Location: Generally, it's near a residential area and a bit far from attractions (-0.7). Navigation was clear, and there's a convenient parking lot within the hotel grounds. Hygiene: The bedding was clean, and the floors were tidy. They also offer to clean the room after you've woken up, which is quite thoughtful. Service: The hotel front desk staff were very diligent. During check-in, they followed a standardized script and sent a detailed page of information via WeChat, including breakfast and Wi-Fi details. Their response time during my stay was also very fast. It would be even better if they could check reservation notes during check-in to provide the appropriate room type. However, the most annoying part of the service was receiving daily WeChat messages pressuring guests for 5-star reviews (-0.5). Facilities: They have smart home features and well-equipped energy-saving devices, as well as accessible facilities. However, the smart toilet only had an automatic flush function (-0.2). Also, there were no screens on the windows, so opening them for ventilation could let in mosquitoes and other insects (-0.3). Comfort: It has a budget hotel design. The room was a bit compact but generally clean. The soundproofing was a bit lacking (-0.2). Dining: Breakfast is provided, including a noodle station. They also offer a great late-night snack service. Bonus points: Late check-out available (+0.5). No room upgrade. Laundry room available (+0.5). Late-night snack service available (+0.5). Minus points: People occasionally smoked in the ground floor lobby and were not stopped (-0.5).

The hotel is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re in town for a fair or exhibition, with plenty of shopping areas nearby. The room was clean and completely free of cigarette smell, which I really appreciated. Another thing I loved was the washing machine with an automatic drying function. It was extremely convenient, especially if you’re staying for several days, as you can wash and dry your clothes without having to go anywhere else. The staff were excellent — very welcoming, friendly, and polite. Their English was also very good, which made communication easy, and they were always happy to help throughout my stay. I was especially impressed by their professionalism and hospitality. The price was also very reasonable considering the location, facilities, service, and overall experience. Overall, I had a great stay here and was very impressed with both the hotel and the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room is beautiful, you've seen that already, but here's my genuine experience that I hope helps set your expectations. Overall, bare minimum service. There is no proper front desk reception, and I had to remind them to set up the butler group chat the day before arrival because there were no instructions. Upon arrival, the main door was locked. Someone eventually came and brought my luggage up to the room, and that was it. No friendly chats, no personal touch, no estate introduction or tour, no other instructions, just a few pre-set WeChat images. The butler is quite responsive on chat but often provides incomplete answers. Service at breakfast was cold. No one welcomes you when you walk in, and there was no proper introduction to what was available. There was only one staff member at breakfast. He eventually came over and asked which main dish I'd like. There was no mention of Western vs. Chinese options until I overheard someone else's order. Most of the time he was standing at the kitchen entrance using his phone loudly, which made it hard to get his attention. The loud phone noise made the experience quite unpleasant, as I was hoping for a relaxing, quiet breakfast. Food options are very limited for a solo traveller. I ordered ******* for every lunch and dinner. I was quite hungry in the late afternoon and looking forward to the savory snacks in the afternoon tea set. I ordered them to my room and was told the ”chef had a family emergency” and could not prepare the fries and popcorn chicken, though I later saw someone else having the complete set in the lobby. :/ I saw another review a few months back giving feedback that there was no floor mat near the hot tub area. Even though they always respond to negative reviews the same way, saying they will improve, the problem was unfortunately not fixed. You only have one floor mat at the shower area and have to remember to bring it across the room to the hot tub area, or you'll be dripping wet on a slippery floor when you exit the tub. Soundproofing is bad. There is a road right next to the room, and you can hear occasional cars passing by. During my stay, farmers were harvesting bamboo, and you could hear the loud truck engines (which sounded like excavators) and them talking loudly. Mad respect for farmers, just highlighting the downside of the location that you dont see in the nice photos. The whole experience was strange because it felt like other guests were there for photoshoot over an actual hotel stay experience. You could see beautifully dressed ladies posing at every corner of the estate. Nothing wrong with that, just not something I'm used to. The experience is not without positives. The room I stayed in 【云渌】 had an insanely beautiful view, which was what I came for. It directly faces the bamboo forest and mountains. On good days, you'll probably be able to see a nice sunset. The room was clean and had great, thoughtful amenities, including Le Labo toiletries, a small pack of laundry detergent, eye masks, earplugs, and a Dyson hairdryer, to name a few. I also loved the huge private balcony it came with. I was really looking forward to this stay, but coming from another 民宿 I absolutely enjoyed, the service here was a stark contrast. This place has so much potential if they could brush up on the professionalism of the service crew to match the aesthetic and pricetag. I sincerely wish them well and hope the service can be improved.
