GGuest UserSmall double room, very soft mattress, bathroom was tiny, no surface for your washbag etc, very tatty bathroom suite, sink cracked from top to bottom, shower leaked so badly that the flooring was warped and leaked onto bedroom carpet leaving wet patch after each use.

SShomarlThe B&B Hotel offers a reliable, no-nonsense stay that punches well above its price tag. The rooms are modern, minimalist, and impressively clean, featuring comfortable bedding and excellent soundproofing for a restful night. While amenities are basic, the fast, free Wi-Fi and plentiful power outlets are a huge plus for travelers. The self-service check-in is seamless, and the staff are welcoming whenever you need them. The optional breakfast buffet is fresh and offers a solid variety. It’s an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers who refuse to sacrifice comfort and cleanliness for a good price.

GGuest UserI was greeted by a lovely young lady who made me very welcome. I was struggling with my luggage so she helped me up to the room, it was a great help. The facilities here are amazing, made use of the pool, spa & sauna.
Had a relaxing drink in the bar.
Haven't eaten here as I am visiting family & been eating with them but the food does smell amazing. My room is a single but is perfect the bed is more queen size than single & very comfy.

GGuest UserThe Orwell Hotel is a lovely old Victorian hotel with a slightly surprising dynamic Elephant sculpture at the front. The location was great for me - perfectly between family I was visiting and the beach. I was stayin on the second floor and appreciated being in a quiet location, with a bath, kettle and coffees/teas. The staff at reception were really lovely. Unfortunately, there isn't much water pressure in that room which meant both the shower and the bath took a long time/wasn't very pleasant. I also thought it was odd that someone knocked on my door at 9am on a Saturday to service the room - thankfully I was already awake.

AAnupama NorgroveExperience a charming stay @Jockey club rooms, Newmarket (near Cambridge, UK)
A truly traditional and sophisticated stay at the Jockey Club Rooms. Our deluxe room overlooked the beautifully kept gardens, and the interiors — especially the Colefax & Fowler fabrics — felt timeless and elegant. The bathroom was enormous, almost larger than the bedroom, and the whole property is filled with classic equestrian art and heritage charm.
We enjoyed champagne in the private members’ bar, a rare privilege for overnight guests, and breakfast was exceptional — from eggs Benedict to eggs Royal, kippers, pancakes and more, all served in a grand dining room. Easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve had.
The atmosphere is old‑world English tradition at surprisingly accessible prices, with free parking and a perfect High Street location. Ideal for visiting Cambridge or Suffolk — and we loved being able to stroll to Thai Kitchen for dinner.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, history, and understated luxury - all for the price of a room in the Premier inn!

SSmithMarcThis is the second time we have stayed here and the location is beautiful.
Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was very slow and the young staff members seem to be more interested in chatting around the bar area.
My wife was keen to use the spa facilities included in the price but the sauna was closed, the steam room and jacuzzi were full, as was the pool.
Not as good as the first time we stayed 16 months ago, which was disappointing, but the surroundings were still lovely.

AAnonymous UserThe cheapest single room probably and its rear placing on the 1st floor close to the exit for amenities on the ground floor had its audible experience....unpleasant until late at night. ..every night of 4.
However, with not much choice in the area one would have to use it again for which reason they count on frequent bookings. Then again, even if a bit of loyalty would not go a miss and at least give a room on the second floor where you have one less sound effect and some window covering too!

SShanghai hatI had a great stay at Novotel Ipswich Centre and felt it offered excellent value for money. The hotel is in a convenient location, within easy walking distance of the town centre and waterfront, making it an ideal base for exploring Ipswich.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made the check-in and check-out process quick and easy.
What stood out most was the reasonable price. Considering the quality of the accommodation, the service, and the central location, I thought it represented very good value. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel in Ipswich.
