We chose this hotel, about a 30-minute drive from home, for a one-night stay so the kids could go swimming. They were so excited before we even left. After checking in, we rushed to the pool, only to be told that children weren't allowed after 6 PM and could only use it after 9 AM the next morning. However, check-out was at 11 AM, which left very little time. So, I contacted Trip.com customer service to request a late check-out. During the first call, the hotel said they would charge £10 per hour for late check-out. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and thanks to Trip.com's proactive coordination, the hotel finally agreed to a free two-hour late check-out for both rooms. The kids had a fantastic time the next morning, which was a huge plus. The hotel is newly renovated, and the overall facilities are quite good for a UK hotel. Dinner was also decent, though the steak was a bit disappointing. Luckily, the waitstaff were very friendly and didn't charge us for it. IHG's service philosophy was generally well-reflected. However, the hotel seemed a bit understaffed. There were only two people at the front desk, so checking in required a bit of a wait. After check-in, no one showed us to our rooms, and the layout was a bit confusing, making it easy to get lost. I hope the hotel can improve in this area in the future. Also, it would be even more appealing if they could add some family-friendly room types.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at Britannia Hotel Coventry and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel’s central location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city centre, shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing visit. The check-in process was smooth, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting. I also appreciated the good value for money and the convenience of having all the city’s amenities within walking distance. I would happily recommend Britannia Hotel Coventry to anyone visiting Coventry for business or leisure and would certainly consider staying here again in the future.

It was an excellent stay at Scarman for me. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has a good range of food for breakfast and the selection of food for lunch & dinner was not huge but the food was delicious. I went to the University of Warwick to attend my son's graduation which the venue for the ceremony was within walking distance. To sum up, I am impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

The room was spacious, much more than I thought that it would be. It was also very clean. As we were out most of the time, we couldn't really get to use any of the facilities, if any in the hotel. As it's right smacked within the Coventry Club Football Arena, I can imagine it being a good accomodation for football fans whenever there's a match. The downside is that it's a little out of the way from the city centre. Unless you have a car, it might not be convenient to go to the city centre from this hotel.

Hotel looks very posh. Unfortunately thats where it stops. The family room was large but lacked character. The gym facilities was extra charge Breakfast was OK. But plates and bowls were filthy We travel to Midlandsa lot. We wont be staying here again. .

I usually book this hotel like every 2-3 months whenever I come to coventry but this time it felt like a bit awkward due to staff behaviour. I just wanna clear ‘The lady’ who checked me in was really nice, sweet and professional with what she’s doing, however the morning staff wasn’t very polite as I had already paid for a late checkout because I wasn’t well that night and couldn’t rest properly, yet the staff still called me without first double-checking with their team which shows there’s no communication. I was unwell and asleep when they called, and instead of apologising for the mistake, the lady hung up abruptly.  On top of that, the housekeeping staff opened my room door without knocking first and again there’s no apology. They opened the door and only then said “hello,” which was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional.  Overall, the lack of communication, manners, and respect for guest privacy really affected our experience and I’m I won’t come back here again.

Enjoyed our stay. Aaron at reception was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great with full English breakfast options as well as a variety of cereal, freshly baked croissants and other pastry as well a Nutella pump which my son thoroughly enjoyed

Myself and sis visited our absolute favourite place for a little one night catch up ( we always come here whenever I’m home to visit) Lovely lovely staff ( Hi to Josh, Charlotte, Rachel and the fab teamx) They always warmly welcome us, and we enjoy smashing facilities, great food and drinks and always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Lovely staffs, It felt warm when a staff greeted me in the morning with a bright smile, the room was tidy in the morning when I got back. Room very clean, toilet and bath was clean as well. Had no concerns felt very safe. I would definitely recommend to use. Rooms are big and convenient.

The location isn’t that close to new street as it says. The room was quite small with no bathroom. There was only a shared bathroom which I didn’t like. Staff were nice checking in, however, when checking out they seemed slightly rude in tone.
