This hotel has a great public bath, perfect for soaking away the day's fatigue. The hairdryer in the room is a Refa for hair care, and the staff are incredibly attentive. They thoughtfully provide amenities upon check-in, and the floor attendants are always friendly. The front desk on the 18th floor offers unbeatable views. Its location right in front of Nagoya Meitetsu Station makes it super convenient for arrivals from the airport and for taking the Shinkansen. The surrounding area is packed with restaurants and shops, and the views from the room are absolutely stunning. I would definitely want to stay here again.

Conveniently located near the Nagoya Station. Many food options nearby and perfect for a layover. You grab your own refills and amenities from their lobby. The checkout is unfortunately very early, so be aware of it. We got charged 1000 yen per person for every hour overstayed. Its our fault but others should be aware of their earlier check out time to avoid this mistake.

Although it's a JR West hotel, this one is a bit too far from Nagoya Station. You have to cross several roads, and the overall experience isn't as good as JR East Mets Hotel, which is directly connected to the station. I booked this hotel for the convenience of catching an early train, and I was very disappointed.
The hotel is a bit old, and the front desk is small, but they have self-checkout machines which are quite convenient. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right next to the lobby, making it easy to grab a late-night snack or breakfast for the next day.
The room size is decent. I'm not sure why the kettle and the table with an outlet and seating are placed in two separate areas. There are no tea sets in the room; you have to get them downstairs yourself.
As an economy option, it's passable, but as a JR hotel, it doesn't really stand out.
I was here for the Jishukan High School Jishusai festival and forgot my slippers, so I just wore the hotel's. My room had a direct view of Toyohashi Station platforms, but the soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was quite extensive and very delicious. Not only did it have all the usual offerings, but also local specialties like Toyohashi curry udon and chikuwa (fish cakes), and there were even two different kinds of chikuwa! They were really tasty, and it meant I didn't have to go out and buy the now-pricier chikuwa. My only slight disappointment was that the curry udon was cold. Also, the entrance on the first floor that connects to the station was under renovation, and it wasn't as obvious, similar to the steps where Lao Ba eats takoyaki.

The room was very clean and, for a Japanese hotel, a decent size. The location is absolutely superb, with the station and a department store right downstairs. It's convenient for getting anywhere. The overall facilities and hardware are great. However, when I tried to drop off my luggage before check-in, I encountered a Japanese man at the front desk who was noticeably rude to guests. He had narrow eyes, a slightly round face, wasn't too short, and had slicked-back hair. I'm not sure if it was intentional (in Japan, hotels are in the 'hospitality' industry, and trained staff usually wouldn't act that way; I've been to Japan numerous times and this is the first time someone returned my passport face down and upside down). Anyway, his Japanese was also delivered in a 'slow and deliberate' manner, almost sarcastically (imagine the tone of an 'eunuch' by the emperor's side in a palace). He completely lacked the professionalism expected in the service industry. When I officially checked in, it was a different story with an older Korean man who spoke Japanese; his attitude was completely different. I'd advise friends checking in to avoid that first individual. The cleaning staff I saw were all foreign workers and their attitude was excellent. Due to its great location and facilities, the hotel's business is surely doing well.

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip to Nagoya. Although the hotel is a bit small, it's really clean.
**Location:** The hotel is in the city center, right near Nagoya Subway Station, and directly opposite the Big Camera shopping center. Super convenient!
**Facilities:** It's small but has everything you need. The soundproofing could be a little better, or maybe the person in the next room snored really loudly, but either way, I was a bit disturbed.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean.
**Service:** Very good.

I have stayed in a number of Sotetsu Fresca Inn in Japan and this branch is wonderful too. It’s near train station but takes a while to find using maps due to the heavy construction near the station.
There are 2 things I love a lot:
1. The room ambiance is calm and convenient. The color combination of the room is pleasing to look at especially after a long day of travel. Though the room is a bit small, buttons are conveniently located so it’s easy to access all the lighting buttons.
2. I love the buckwheat pillow which is therapeutic to sleep at night. I had a good night rest after a long overnight flight the day before.
Overall, I will recommend this hotel as it’s new, clean and offers a good night rest.

Although the room is quite small, the room is very clean and well equipped. Just got to adjust abit and you will find space haha I love how they offer all the toiletries at the lobby! Super convenient location with food and convenience stores downstairs/nearby. Few mins walk from Nagoya stations with all the malls side by side. You can even walk underground (mister donut direction).
The location was fantastic, check in was quick and smooth. We left our luggage at the counter as we arrived early. We stayed on Level 9. Our room was a room at the end of the aisle with two single beds and an additional foldable bed added. However, the room was not properly cleaned. There was visible dust on the surfaces on the ledge of the bed above our heads. The small bedside table was also covered with dust. As my daughter and I both have allergic reactions, it was bad for our noses and much sneezing ensued. I am deeply disappointed as I have come to expect top level cleanliness from Japanese hotels and so far, I have never been disappointed. This was by far my worst stay in a Japanese hotel.

The hotel's location is quite good; it's not far from the station or Sakae, and it's a relatively quiet area. There's a FamilyMart nearby, which is very convenient for shopping, and plenty of highly-rated restaurants, making dining very easy.
The room size is decent for the price, offering good value for money, but it doesn't have a bathtub, which is quite unusual for Japan.

GGuest UserThe twin room I booked is spacious and clean. The staffs are very friendly and there is complimentary breakfast for the guests. Location is about 5-7 mins from Nagoya Station, there are several convenience stores like Lawson & Family Mart around the hotel. I would stay here again if I visit Nagoya
JJinghuahuotuiAlthough the room size isn't huge, it's quite acceptable for a major city like Nagoya. Every day, after returning to the hotel, I could relax in the large public bath on the rooftop, which really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. Since I didn't use the room's bathroom, I put my suitcase in there, which effectively increased the usable space in the bedroom. Plus, the hotel provides DHC cosmetics for free, which is definitely a highlight. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sakae commercial district, Oasis 21, and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle is only about a 15-minute walk away. For dinner, if you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about 5 minutes, you'll find an underground shopping street beneath the Nagoya TV Tower with all sorts of restaurants and a food supermarket. There's also a convenient store right outside the hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't incredibly diverse, I particularly enjoyed the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and ramen. The staff were very enthusiastic. Choosing this hotel for my stay was definitely a smart decision.
AAnonymous UserI came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers.
GGuest UserJapan's 9h capsule hotels are quite renowned, so I made sure to try one out this trip. My overall impression was excellent. The other guests were very considerate, and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. The lockers were surprisingly spacious, and there were plenty of large, well-maintained shower facilities. Plus, the location was incredibly convenient.
Wwinewine99The hotel is really close to the subway station, about a four to five-minute walk. I didn't pay attention when I booked, and this particular street is a bit... 'special' at night, haha, but it's not a huge problem.
Right downstairs, there's a Lawson and a FamilyMart, plus a Matsuya fast-food restaurant. There were also several highly-rated restaurants nearby, but I didn't have time to try them!
It's about six or seven subway stops from Nagoya Dome, no transfers needed, and takes around 20-30 minutes, which is quite convenient!
The front desk staff were very friendly, but the check-in time is strictly enforced – only from 3 PM. There's a seating area nearby where you can wait, and breakfast is even included! Though I didn't actually eat it.
The room is small but has everything you need. It's perfect for one person, no big issues! If you're coming to the Dome for a concert, you might want to consider this place! 🫶🏻
VVinnie_OngRoom price includes breakfast, while the options are limited, the taste and quality is good. Love the curry and it's soft scrambled egg. Room size I booked is typical Japanese business hotel size, which is compact. Location is like 5-10 mins to Nagoya station, 5 mins to Aeon Mall, and 15 mins to Toyota Commemorative Museum (all in walking distance). Also they have supplementary coffee and soft drinks throughout the day at the breakfast hall until 11pm. You can heat up your food as there is a microwave there. A good hangout place with friends for night snack before hitting the bed.

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!
MM277579****Located in the bustling city center and commercial district, there are countless great restaurants of all sizes just around the corner. Shopping for daily necessities is also within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. The transportation is excellent too, making it easy to get anywhere.
LLi*****The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the JR station, with many choices of restaurants and few shopping malls nearby, making it a great base for exploring the city. The property feels very new and well-maintained. Our twin room room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, which made for a very comfortable stay. The lobby is also impressively spacious, with plenty of seating areas to relax or wait comfortably.
One highlight was the gym — it’s well-equipped with modern, new machines, which is a big plus for those who like to keep up with their workouts while traveling. I also appreciated the daily freshly brewed coffee provided in the room, a small detail that made a big difference.
Overall, a stylish and comfortable hotel that I would happily return to on my next visit to Nagoya.
