The bed was incredibly small, and they wouldn't even provide an extra duvet, only a blanket without a cover. At the front desk, remember to ask for your skincare amenities yourself when you check in; otherwise, they'll pretend not to have any – it's just fake politeness. I guess the hot spring is the only reason to choose this place. In comparison, I much prefer JR Gate Tower; they directly give you Takashimaya coupons, and the bathroom is also much more spacious.

This is a brand new, modern hotel. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and the space is quite generous with all amenities provided. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to both the Shinkansen and Meitetsu lines. The staff are incredibly nice; they greeted us every time we entered and exited. When we checked out to catch our flight, it was raining quite heavily, and the staff even gave us an umbrella, which was a very thoughtful gesture. This hotel really goes the extra mile for its guests.

Although it's a JR West hotel, this one is a bit too far from Nagoya Station. You have to cross several roads, and the overall experience isn't as good as JR East Mets Hotel, which is directly connected to the station. I booked this hotel for the convenience of catching an early train, and I was very disappointed.
The hotel is a bit old, and the front desk is small, but they have self-checkout machines which are quite convenient. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right next to the lobby, making it easy to grab a late-night snack or breakfast for the next day.
The room size is decent. I'm not sure why the kettle and the table with an outlet and seating are placed in two separate areas. There are no tea sets in the room; you have to get them downstairs yourself.
As an economy option, it's passable, but as a JR hotel, it doesn't really stand out.
This hotel is directly connected to the JR station, making it incredibly convenient to get to the guest rooms. Plus, there's a FamilyMart and a relatively larger convenience store right inside the station.
While Google lists it as a 3-star hotel, it's rated as 5-diamond on Ctrip. Objectively speaking, it's much better than other 3-star hotels in terms of both room size and facilities. The TV is large and new, and the bathroom is also spacious.
I heard the breakfast is fantastic, but since my room didn't include it, I didn't get a chance to try it.

The room was very clean and, for a Japanese hotel, a decent size. The location is absolutely superb, with the station and a department store right downstairs. It's convenient for getting anywhere. The overall facilities and hardware are great. However, when I tried to drop off my luggage before check-in, I encountered a Japanese man at the front desk who was noticeably rude to guests. He had narrow eyes, a slightly round face, wasn't too short, and had slicked-back hair. I'm not sure if it was intentional (in Japan, hotels are in the 'hospitality' industry, and trained staff usually wouldn't act that way; I've been to Japan numerous times and this is the first time someone returned my passport face down and upside down). Anyway, his Japanese was also delivered in a 'slow and deliberate' manner, almost sarcastically (imagine the tone of an 'eunuch' by the emperor's side in a palace). He completely lacked the professionalism expected in the service industry. When I officially checked in, it was a different story with an older Korean man who spoke Japanese; his attitude was completely different. I'd advise friends checking in to avoid that first individual. The cleaning staff I saw were all foreign workers and their attitude was excellent. Due to its great location and facilities, the hotel's business is surely doing well.

The location is fantastic! After exiting JR Station, just take the underground passage on the right, walk straight for 30 seconds, and you'll see Big Camera right as you come up the escalator. This hotel is directly across the street, making transportation incredibly convenient. The facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is acceptable. Breakfast is excellent, with a great variety and delicious taste.

for me , only thing it is hard to find initially. need to go past the underneath the train lines etc if you come via the train station and there are another hotel with same name Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nagoya except the last word. walked to the wrong hotel and in the rain. then another walk to find. If you check in at night time, maybe you have more difficulties.
But once you know the way, it is very convenient to the train station , bus station.
it is clean and tidy. luggage storage need to pay but it is fine for me. prefer to use it inside the hotel compare to those coin locker in the train station.

Having stayed at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Osaka-Kitahama before and loving the room and breakfast, I canceled my other bookings and specifically chose to stay here for 4 consecutive nights.
The hotel is very close to Nagoya Station, making it incredibly convenient for JR lines, Shinkansen, and Meitetsu. We had connecting rooms, which was great for looking after the elderly. Everything was wonderful, until breakfast...
Breakfast was American donuts, literally just donuts. The breakfast voucher included an Egg McMuffin + a donut + a coffee (or black tea). This is really not suitable as a proper breakfast and simply can't compare to the buffet breakfast at Osaka-Kitahama.
Everything else was great, it was just the breakfast that was a letdown. I'd recommend booking a room without breakfast.
The location was fantastic, check in was quick and smooth. We left our luggage at the counter as we arrived early. We stayed on Level 9. Our room was a room at the end of the aisle with two single beds and an additional foldable bed added. However, the room was not properly cleaned. There was visible dust on the surfaces on the ledge of the bed above our heads. The small bedside table was also covered with dust. As my daughter and I both have allergic reactions, it was bad for our noses and much sneezing ensued. I am deeply disappointed as I have come to expect top level cleanliness from Japanese hotels and so far, I have never been disappointed. This was by far my worst stay in a Japanese hotel.

the triple room is quite small for three people but it is manageable that we can open 2 luggages at once in the room. you can get free drinks at the common area & the staffs are also really helpful. the bathroom door is somewhat transparent, which might be a bit awkward if you're room-sharing with friends.

GGuest UserHotel is conveniently located near Nagoya Station (Shinkansen side). The hotel truly lives up to its name with its comfortable and clean environment! Love the variety of food served for breakfast each morning! The library cafe has a lovely pleasant environment with Muji vibes! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Nagoya! ◡̈
MmagieshenConveniently located yet quiet. The room was clean and tidy, with prompt daily housekeeping, making it a peaceful and cozy stay. Breakfast included unagi don (eel rice bowl), which was small but exquisite. The large public bath had long opening hours and even provided crowd status updates, which I truly appreciated! 👍
YYi31The location is really convenient. There's a huge supermarket right next door, and if you book through Trip.com, you even get a 5% discount on your groceries. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get to the shopping malls and airport by subway. Whenever I visit, I always choose to stay at Jinshan.
Eedith_jEverything was perfect, except for the fact that you can't store luggage after checking out. For just over a hundred a night, these capsule beds are an absolute steal. The separation of the washroom and sleeping areas is really conducive to a good rest. There's a great cafe downstairs, but the check-in time is strictly enforced at 3 PM.
__WeChat55868****Honestly, I think this hotel offers really great value for money, and it even includes breakfast!
Service: The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and super helpful! The cleaning staff also had a wonderful attitude!
Cleanliness: Japanese hotels are generally very clean, and this one was no exception, although there were a few spots that weren't perfectly spotless. Still, it was very good overall.
Amenities: The free breakfast was excellent, and having a tea bar machine was a real bonus – I loved being able to enjoy a drink every time I came back to the hotel!
CChennianwangshiThe location is quite convenient. However, the single and double rooms are the same size, which makes them feel too cramped. The breakfast is decent, but it gets incredibly crowded, with queues extending all the way to the elevators. The environment is chaotic and the management needs to improve to avoid such long lines.

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!
MM277579****Located in the bustling city center and commercial district, there are countless great restaurants of all sizes just around the corner. Shopping for daily necessities is also within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. The transportation is excellent too, making it easy to get anywhere.
GGuest UserThis hotel is really a gem, the size of the room is very big compared to other hotels & their service is tops 👍 rooms are super clean & they have fantastic amenities !
It’s not that far from Nagoya train station, about 10 mins walk. Airport Limousine doesn’t stop at Nikko but you can stop at Kanko Hotel & it’s only 5 mins walk from there.
