The room was spacious, making it easy to open large suitcases. There's a big public bath and a laundry room, and breakfast was good. The room was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is right across from the station; you just take the pedestrian bridge down and you're there. If you have luggage, though, you'll need to take the elevator on the left side of the bridge down to street level, cross the zebra crossing, and then you're at the hotel. We visited in March when the plum blossoms were in full bloom. You can walk from the hotel through the station to Kairakuen Garden and then take the train back.
This is a hotel right in front of the ocean!!
The sound of the waves was so relaxing, and my time at the hotel was wonderful. 🥰
The lounge was filled with books, games, and drinks, so I was able to relax while gazing at the beautiful Nittsu Island right in front of me.
The food was also delicious, and I was very satisfied both in the evening and in the morning!!
The rooftop open-air bath is my top recommendation!!
The view and the quality of the spring water were both amazing!!
This is a hotel I'd love to visit again! ✨
The Narita Airport bus goes directly to Mito Station, and it's a 10-minute walk from Mito JR South Exit. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. The location is excellent, right next to the Sakura River with beautiful scenery. Every evening, there's all-you-can-drink Kirin draft beer (small cups) and local Japanese sake. Plus, there are tons of manga books to read, which is really cool! It's a great stopover if you're visiting Ibaraki Prefecture.
This was the best accommodation during my 3-night, 4-day trip.
Since it is located right next to the South Exit of Mito Station, you don't even have to go to the first floor; the front desk is on the 3rd floor.
Make sure to try the breakfast; the toast is seriously delicious.
The bathhouse on the 5th floor has all the ingredients listed, so the water seems to be of good quality.
The bedding is luxurious, and the room is spacious, making it the best. 👍
The room was immaculately cleaned, wiped clean with paper towels to ensure it was dust-free. The kids loved the tatami-mat windowsill. During the day, they could sit by the window and watch the torii gates and the sunrise and sunset. The view was superb, but the weather wasn't good. At night, the tatami mat was large enough to double as a single bed. The room was spacious enough to easily fit three open suitcases without hindering mobility. The hotel is ideally located, with a small yet beautiful design, facing Oarai Shrine and the Pacific Ocean behind. As it's an annex of the Oarai Onsen Hotel, guests can also enjoy the baths there. The two front desk staff were very friendly and always addressed any issues promptly. P.S. The seafood at Hinoji Restaurant across from the hotel is clean, odorless, and high-quality, even better than what you'd find at the Oarai seafood market.
The Celecton Hotel opened in 2019.It is quite new and within a short walk from Tsuchiura Station . There is a Kasumi supermarket near the station. You can get a set of very comfortable pyjamas when you check in at the front desk. Public onsens for males and females , ice making machine , drinks vending machine , microwave machine are all on the ground floor. We didn't try the breakfast as there were many other food options nearby. Aeon mall is a short bus ride from Tsuchiura Station.
Service: The receptionists were incredibly patient and attentive, providing excellent service. They showed me bus routes, helped me book a taxi, and offered the hotel's bicycle rental service – perfect! I also apologize for the inconvenience I caused the hotel due to my own negligence; it was a lifesaver! I haven't used cash in China for over ten years, I'll be more mindful in the future.
Environment: The pictures show the nearby Tsukuba Library and HAL events.
Environment: There's a coffee shop on the first floor connecting area. I strongly advise all tourists to avoid it. A tiny cup of coffee, about 100ml, costs nearly 700 yen – seven times the price of a vending machine! The service is also terrible. No wonder no Japanese people drink there; the surrounding area is mostly used for studying. The food area was empty for several days. I felt ripped off (this has nothing to do with the hotel, just a warning to avoid this coffee shop).
サービスについて:フロントのスタッフの方々が本道にvery kindで、サービスも行き期いていました.えてくれたり、タクシーの约を手伝ってくれたり、さらにホテルのレンタルサイクルサービスもUse できました.満点のサービスです! It's a private matter. I should be a helper. China's domestic cash management system that is more than 10 years old is a cash management company that has been operating for more than 10 years.
Environmental environment: Photos are close to Tsukuba library and HAL are in the library.
Environment (additional): もう一点, 1st-tier connecting part にあるカフェについてですが, full ての観光客の方にお勧めしません. The hand-operated product is about 700 yen, and the amount is about 100ml. The automatic vending machine has a 7 times price range. The customer service attitude is the best.
A decent hotel. The service was excellent. They offered free dandan noodles for a late-night snack. The hot springs were excellent. It happened to be the Lantern Festival, and the open-air baths, enjoying the cool breeze and bright moonlight, were quite relaxing. Just be sure to pay attention to the bus schedule from the hotel to the station. When booking, I thought it would run every hour, but it turned out to be only available at 15:10. Although we missed the shuttle, the bus was quite convenient. Just be sure to prepare small change in cash or PayPay. I personally think the 100-year-old plum wine is superb. Highly recommended.
It was a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the large windows offered a great view. We also got free access to the hot springs next door, so it was great value for money.
Next to a mall. Convenient for meals. And some shopping . A pity there's no public bath. Coin laundry available. . Staff service is fine. Except when I checked in. I got a lady staff coughing non stop and trying to explain to me the check in details.. she was not wearing a mask. That's not nice and I was upset. But had to cover my nose and mouth with a tissue paper. As I was caught suddenly facing a coughing staff. And didn't have time to pull out my medical.mask.
Parking was convenient. Drive to the small parking space behind the hotel. And you will be guided to use the special car lift to park car. Don't need to use the public multi storey car park.next door.

GGuest UserAccess is excellent as it is right in front of the station rotary. This is probably the oldest hotel in this area.
Breakfast was delicious at the teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel.
I think it would be nice to have a USB power jack or charger these days.

GGuest UserThe hotel is walking distance from the station, that's why we chose it. Indeed, it is walking distance from the station, which made our trip super convenient. They have hand sanitizing alcohol at the entrances and outside elevators, which I like. The staff was nice and helpful. We did not get to try the food. It would have been nice if there were facilities or activities to wind down after a long day, but our room is very cozy and larger than the ones in Tokyo. I like that the room had a divider for the bed area and the living room area, and the TV could flip both sides too. I like that we had a sofa and a work table in the room, where we could eat snacks and prep for the day. The mirror on the table was particularly useful. I like that the bathroom has a separate section for the sink and for the toilet. I enjoyed their bathtub very much. The closet area is wide enough with enough hangers as well. Too bad I do not have pictures of the room, but it was nice getting to stay here!
TTCLYHotel facilities are average, hotels are more difficult to find, parking is often full, to go around to find your own parking is more troublesome, breakfast do not expect too much to eat a full stomach, if it coincides with the April cherry blossom season there d cherry blossoms are very beautiful.

AAnonymous UserThank you very much ❤️
Excellent service!
Natural hot springs! You can also soak anywhere, anytime, 24 hours a day.
Thank you ❤️
I will enjoy going to ❤️ again next time.
Because I really stayed late that day, driving by car is not that simple!
The waiter Abei is still very intimate to help us put the luggage ❤️ up ❤️ thank you 🌹
XXuan1129This hotel is perfect for family trips. It's located in front of the station and there's a convenience store nearby. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The large communal bath on the first floor is also spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. Absolutely nothing to complain about!
GGuest UserLike other Dormy Inns, it features well-maintained guest rooms and baths. Yonaki Soba is also served in the evening. Regarding the baths, the open-air bath was very popular, and while the space was somewhat cramped compared to its popularity, I made good use of it during my stay. There is also a manga room and massage chairs on the bath floor. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Mito Station, so it is a bit far from Mito's tourist attractions such as Kairakuen Garden.
