Experience the thrill of the Springtime end of Season Terrain Park Slopestyle event, known as the Corn Cup. This exciting freestyle competition is the perfect way to close out the year with a bang. Picture yourself riding on slushy snow, surrounded by fully built parks and expert riders who have perfected their tricks. And if you're lucky, the weather might even cooperate. The Slopestyle events at Whitefish Terrain Parks offer skiers and snowboarders the ultimate opportunity to showcase their skills, using a variety of jumps and rail features throughout the full runs.
The event will take place at various locations. Check-in is at Ed and Mully's, located at 3905 Big Mountain Road. The competitions themselves will be held at Chair 3 / Whitefish Terrain Parks. The Open and Amateur Divisions will compete in Slopestyle at Central Park and 2nd Street Park to Lower Railyard, while the Grom Divisions will compete in Slopestyle at 2nd Street Park to Depot Park. The Awards ceremony will be held at the Events Office, located at 3915 Big Mountain Road.
To participate, online pre-registration is required. Make sure to register before 7:00am on the day of the event. The registration fee is $30 per person. Please note that all participants must check-in to sign in and receive a bib.
There are various categories available for both skiers and snowboarders. In the Central Ave Park, there are top classes for Male Skier, Female Skier, Male Snowboard, and Female Snowboard. In the 2nd Ave Park, there are amateur classes for Male Skier, Female Skier, Male Snowboard, and Female Snowboard. And in the Depot Park, there are Grom classes for Male Skier, Female Skier, Male Snowboard, and Female Snowboard.
The schedule of events is as follows: mandatory online registration closes at 7:00am, check-in takes place from 9:30am to 10:30am, inspection for all competitors is from 10:00am to 11:00am, and the competition begins at 11:30am. The Awards ceremony will be held at 3:30pm.
The judging criteria for the Slopestyle competition take into account factors such as degree of difficulty, amplitude, execution, variety, and style. Each judge will assign a score out of 10, with a maximum possible score of 40.
