Details

Sea-Change with Jessica Streeting is a profound event where Jessica will delve into her poetic memoir, exploring her idyllic childhood in the Norfolk countryside and the untimely loss of her remarkable father, Paul Farnham. Following their move to a remote village for Paul's duties as a rector, tragedy struck when he tragically drowned during a sudden storm when Jessica was just 13 years old. Renowned personality Stephen Fry describes Sea-Change as 'beautifully sad,' reflecting on the impact of Paul, who had also touched the lives of locals in the community, including a young Fry himself. Accompanied by longtime friend Rachel Papps Williams, Jessica will share insights and memories from the book. This event is hosted by the Friends of Durning Library and admission is free, with a small donation of £3 for refreshments. Join us at Durning Library in London on March 18, 2024, to immerse yourself in the poignant narrative of Sea-Change with Jessica Streeting.
