Great location and overall an amazing stay, but soundproofing could be much better. Take note that there are rooms without the balcony , which I should have asked prior checking in. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very convenient and accessible, which made exploring the area super easy. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However the housekeeping service, the blanket’s sheets were removed by us but she just left on the floor instead of cleaning it up and the vanity kit was not restored. (I’m not entirely sure how is housekeeping like in AUS, but it’s not the best) That said, the walls are extremely thin, and noise was a consistent issue throughout. You can hear people talking and walking in the hallway, the housekeeping trolley rolling by, and even the closing of nearby doors, which is surprisingly loud and jarring. The other rooms are very close to each other, so you can even hear the other rooms alarm(which kept snoozing 3 times from 7am) the doors do not have a soft close to when it closes it keeps banging— it gets disruptive. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this might be something to keep in mind. But if you’re okay with a bit of background noise, the hotel still offers great value in a prime location. REMEMBER to ask if there’s any renovation works happening prior to booking (we had ours on the last day and the drilling was so loud)

”As this was a business trip, I didn’t have the opportunity to use the facilities. However, the cleanliness of the room was extremely poor—it was very dusty and unacceptable. See pictures attached. I spoke with a female staff member over the phone, and her initial response was that she couldn’t communicate the issue about the dusty room herself and that I needed to submit a cleaning request. To my surprise, she said I would have to wait until the next day and inform her colleagues in the morning, as she was unable to pass on the message. Thankfully, a male staff member kindly assisted in arranging for the housekeeper to deep clean the room while I was away at a meeting. He was helpful and friendly, which I really appreciated. That said, it seemed like the housekeeper wasn’t very thorough with the cleaning—perhaps they just didn’t want to put in the effort. I was too exhausted to raise another complaint at that point. To be fair to the female staff member, she did follow through with my suggestion to exchange rooms, though she warned me that all rooms were similar. After inspecting the one she proposed, I found the dust level to be about the same, so I decided not to switch and instead focused on cleaning the room myself.

The location is fantastic as you are just steps away from Wynyard station, and a short walk to George Street. The hotel is old, but appears to be renovated and they are doing upgrades progressively. The studio was nice and big, with plenty of room for 2 people. You have everything you need for a good stay - full kitchen, washer/dryer etc. It was also nice to have a balcony area to sit and relax. The furnishings have been updated and we felt very comfortable in our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Remember, check-out time is 11 AM. From the airport, buy a ticket for the T8 train to Wynyard Station. Take Exit 2 on George Street, cross the road, and walk straight for about 3 minutes – it's super convenient. Remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are provided, as are a hairdryer, towels, and bath towels. There's a supermarket right outside the train station where you can buy water to take to the hotel; there's a kettle in the room. The only downside is that hotel prices here are generally expensive. You can take a three-stop tram ride to Chinatown, where you'll find all sorts of authentic food.

The room is very spacious and has a bathtub. The structure was a bit unique, so it was interesting and fun. Because it is a city, there is often noise in the early morning. People who are sensitive to sleep should be careful because the warning sound keeps coming from outside for about 10 minutes in the early morning and then stops. I am satisfied with everything! :))

We had a fantastic stay at Paradox Hotel Sydney. The location is excellent — super central and very easy to get to, whether you’re coming in by car or public transport. It’s right near plenty of great bars and restaurants, so there’s always something happening nearby and lots of options within walking distance. The room was very clean and a great size, with plenty of space to relax. Everything felt well maintained and comfortable. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We also made the most of the amenities — the pool and spa were a highlight and a great way to unwind after being out in the city. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Paradox Hotel Sydney to others looking for a central and comfortable place to stay.

Great location, but I wasn't happy with the service. 1. They mixed up the names for luggage storage with the guest who checked in. 2. The Indian staff member who delivered the luggage had a bad attitude. 3. When I called for mineral water, the DND (Do Not Disturb) sign was already on, but the staff still knocked on the door. 4. I asked for two bottles of water and an ice bucket, but they gave me three bottles of water and no ice bucket. On the plus side, the city view from the higher floors is quite nice, and you can go shopping right downstairs. The atmosphere at Level 1, The Place, is also very comfortable.

I'm writing this in hopes it helps future guests. I stayed in a two-bedroom, one-living room unit this time, which was very spacious and perfect for our family of two adults and two children. The room had an unbeatable view, situated between the Shangri-La and Four Seasons, offering the same stunning scenery but at a much lower price. It also offered many conveniences. For example, the room was equipped with a washing machine and dryer that worked great – you can bring your own laundry detergent and powder. It was wonderful to have clean clothes every day! You can cook in the room, which has two refrigerators, a microwave, an oven (though no oven mitts), a range hood, and a four-burner induction cooktop. The only downside was that there were only two pots, so if you need more, you might want to bring an extra one, especially since Sydney is so expensive – even a bowl of noodles outside can cost 100 RMB. A quick tip: avoid buying water from the Indian convenience store behind the hotel! A 1L bottle costs 5 AUD. The bedding was decent, but the pillows weren't comfortable; good thing I brought my own. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable amount of dust on the air conditioning vents. Staff came in daily to make the beds and empty trash, and towels were replaced, but bottled water wasn't provided, so I ended up boiling my own. The hotel is a short walk to Circular Quay, but there are two flights of stairs to navigate. Alternatively, walking up the slope is quite steep.
